I just got back from the local Sears store with a pair of these I needed to repair a copier. Mind you, I'm no copier repair guy but without these we would have spent a fortune on the repair bill!

These snap ring pliers are the best that i have seen thus far. I walked into them by chance while looking for a screwdriver believe it or not and taking a look at it behind the package i knew i had to give them a try. i opened the package and held them in my hand and i was just needed to try them out and luckily i got the opportunity an hour later. they worked wonders and honestly gave me absolutely no trouble. your tips are held in by a set screw and have never slipped or fallen out while in use. they have a very good grip and feel durable. The only thing i'm still skeptical about is the duration of mechanism that swaps the pliers from internal to external( which is extremely easy to use and takes less than a second). When in use i get the feeling that if anything ever goes wrong with these pliers its gonna be that mechanism. So far i've had them a month and use every other day and i have had absolutely no trouble from them.

These retaining ring pliers are great for taking of tires of your lawn tractor when you get a flat also great if you have craftsman rachets because when you need to replace the racheting mechanism you need to take off the ring holding on the back plate.and it works great for that to.

Nice action. The "Color coded" tips are not in fact color coded...yet if your unable to match them up by sight, you likely aren't taking retaining rings out of anything. Overall for the $$ a very nice unit.

got these to remove/install a very heavy duty retainer ring on my 4 wheeler hubs. The other ones I have tried just didnt get it done and these were strong enough to make short work of it. Highly recommend these to anyone regardless of the task.
