Purchased two of these cabinets in an effort to organize my garage. Note: The boxes these come in are very large, and I had to take them home one at a time. I have only set up one of these and am disappointed to say the least. If these weren't so big and cumbersome to handle I would have returned them to the store.
I read the reviews on here prior and nothing really scared me away. I will say this: For the money, these seem CHEAP. Thin metal, scratch in paint on front door gray that was obviously touched up at the factory, holes not cleaned out, on and on.
I took my time squaring everything up, followed directions very closely. Unit is perfectly squared now and level, front to back, side to side, and I ended up with the right door being 3/8" lower than the left. The gap between the doors is even from the top to the bottom, so something in assembly when the cabinet was made is off by at least 3/8". The tensioners/catch mechanisims at the bottom of the doors are a joke with very weak springs that don't snap back into position when the doors are opened. Another complaint I have is the thin metal shows little dents/waviness on the doors when you look at them from the side. Sort of like a car door with lots of dents. The doors don't catch closed (due to the cheap spring assembly on the tensioner) so I am looking at using a magnetic catch for the doors to keep them closed all the way.
On two of the feet, there was excess metal and paint clogging the threads where the feet screw in. I had to use a punch to clean out the excess material and then chase the threads with a tap.
Again, for the money spent on these I would have expected much higher quality construction and materials. I was raised on Craftsman tools and my garage is filled with Craftsman products, and am really disappointed in these cabinets. Thankfully I got them on a Black Friday sale so at least I didn't pay full price.
Another question is why they don't give you enough bungee cords for all the shelves...only enough for one of the two doors. Doesn't make sense to me only another way for Craftsman to try and make money. Sad.

You can read the other reviews so I will keep mine short. Mine came with no dents which seemed to be the biggest complaint. The right door was a little wide where it was welded up (a fabrication problem) but one smack with a rubber mallet fixed it. Assembly: 9 bolts (if you count the safety bracket), two door stops and four leveling feet. That's it. The cabinet is essentially assembled in the box. The door shelves are great for organizing your smaller items like aerosols and oil cans. Very competitively priced. A good purchase!

I have bought a ton of Craftsman items in the past and usually Craftsman means Craftsmanship. NOT in this case. It came bent, dented and nothing lines up. Right out of the box the doors fall off and you can't make them stay on and line up to close as all of the parts don't fit correctly due to the poor machining of the pieces. Some of the nuts aren't even machined correctly to go on the bolts they come with. This is a complete piece of junk and I would steer clear of buying one.

I purchased this cabinet for my home garage. It is a very nice cabinet and it is very well built. Very sturdy construction. The only negative is that when I opened the unit up, one of the shelves was dented . . . instead of going through the hassle of returning the unit, I fixed the dent myself. Be sure to open the box completely at the store . . . the shipping and receiving people will not like you for this but do it any way!

This cabinet is great for garage or basement storage. The extra shelves in the doors are great for smaller items. The zero clearance for opening the doors allows you to put the cabinet close to a wall or other storage units.

I picked this cabinet up at my local Sears store and after unpacking the item, was pleasantly surpised to find no nicks, dents, scratches, or missing parts. This cabinet solved the problem of random storage in several locations. I now have everything I frequently use around the home and pool in one place. It is a very attractive looking cabinet, sturdy and well built. After looking at the instructions, my part of the assembly was a snap. It is exactly what I expected from Craftsman. The door storage shelves really are handy. The only suggestion I can offer is to increase the number of bungees by six (one for each door shelf). Totally satisfied.

First off, this is designed for home use. Not for an Professional Auto Garage that stores heavy items. The metal is a little thinner than I expected, would dent easy if you bumped into it with anything hard. But for home use, it's good. The shelves are sturdy for normal items, like my recycling bins, windshield squirter fluid, soda cans, etc. The doors have shelves built in for spray cans and other small things like that. They also supply little "bungie" style straps to keep the cans secure. It came mostly assembled from Sears, just had to install the door closing hardware, the floor levelers and these little "anti rattle" plastic pieces behind the locking rod that were a pain in the a.., Butt. I used small needle nose pliers to get them installed correctly, and is was worth the trouble, b.c. it really quiets the doors from rattling when opening & closing. I wish it came with a light inside, it doesnt so I installed my own, which really helps. All in all, I think it's a good value & looks great and much better than one of the open shelving units available for less money.

It's a great cabinet; very sturdy and holds a lot of 'stuff'. However, it does come with dents; this is the third Craftsman cabinet I've purchased over the past three years and each of them had dent issues somewhere on the body or doors that needed to be addressed. Usually not serious problems, but if you are looking for perfection "out of the box", it's likely you won't find it here. Given the weight, returning it is generally out of the question, so expect to live with the imperfections (or take an autobody course :-))

Great cabinet with lots of space in the doors. Easy to setup and move into place if you have a dolly. There are not enough bungee cords for all the door shelves however they are a dime a dozen at local home improvement stores. The main issue is that the doors dent easily and you will have trouble receiving a cabinet without any blemishes. I ordered two and one was good and one was bad. I returned the bad one and luckily my Sears store had other cabinets in stock. I simply had to unwrap the packaging and make sure the new cabinet was good.
