Craftsman ProfessionalUniversal Quick Change Hole Saw Kit was just what I needed for my project in the shop. I got the kit because I liked the way the you can change the sizes out and and changing between sizes is a snap. I have used this saw kit using my drill press and my C3 cordless drill. I have used the kit mostly on wood items, but did have a change to cut some holes in some tin on a project and it cut through like butter. I also like the fact that you can add different sizes to your kit as you need to. so the jobs that I used this kit on so far has worked great.

The hole saw is powerful and fast

THE MYSTERIOUS BLACK FLAT WASHER HAS ME BAFFLED. IT FITS NOTHING AND IT'S PURPOSE IS NOT MENTIONED IN THE INSTRUCTIONS. I ALSO THINK THE SET SHOULD HAVE A STORAGE CASE AND AT LEAST ONE EXTRA PILOT BIT. LOOKS WELL MADE. JUST RECEIVED AND HAVE NOT YET USED.

Just received this through web order. I was disappointed there is no permanent case. Once you remove them (with much difficulty) from the plastic theft proof case, (why it need to be theft proof in a web order doesn't make sense) they are loose and will get dinged and become dull from hitting and rolling around. They are Chinese made which in my view lowers the rating by 1 full star at a minimum. They don't appear cheaply made like all Chinese products. Time will tell if they hold up.

The set came with a large black washer that is not identified anywhere on the packaging, instructions, or diagram. It doesn't fit on anything. Not sure what it's use may be or where it fits.

It comes with 2 sizes of mandrels. The larger saw mandrel has a inner nut that spins and tightens into the saw. When lining up the mandrel for the larger hole saw, you need to make sure the tightening nut correctly lines up with the driving nut on the shaft. Otherwise, it will not lock into the adapter.

The saws come with slots in the sides to remove the material which I really like. If you are cutting more than one large hole, you will need to buy an additional mandrel as it only comes with one which seems kind of ridiculous and defeats the purpose of the whole quick change approach.

was making a tube bumper for my jeep and wanted to cope the pipe for a good fit up. all i had was a drill and a couple saw tables and te job came out great. the one suggestion i have is to have a couple of spare drill bits with u or change it to a step drill bit.
