Calculator

This is very easy to use. Awesome use for all projects. Little or no experience with these types of calculator are required. Reasonable price compared to some other places.

Where have you been all my life?

I'm not stupid or anything, I am great with numbers. But why wouldn't you want something to do all that work for you, especially when it is so inexpensive? The folding cover is great too.

Take Difficulty Out Of The Equation

Appearances can be deceiving. Sure, it may look like an ordinary calculator. And of course it can do basic functions like 1+1=2. You can even spell ?hello? upside down on it by typing ?01134?. But this is no ordinary calculator. If you ever found yourself scratching your head trying to calculate how many square feet of floor tiles you need, or how much 100 patio pavers costs, this is the calculator for you. This calculator allows you to calculate square footage and cost of materials right down to the fraction. It carries preset functions for paint, wallpaper, tile, decks and fence. I can?t tell you how handy this calculator is in saving hours of frustration trying to calculate the mathematics of do-it-yourself. It is suitable for drafting up plans even before you build, assisting you with accurate measurements and trued-angles. With or without math skills, I highly recommend this calculator to any do-it-yourself handyman who wants to tackle their next project with ease and peace of mind.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Add fractions and feet and inches with ease

Like most Americans, my math skills have gone away faster than my eyesight and hairline.  It is becoming increasing more difficult to add 3/8 + 1/4 + 1-1/4.  With my new project calcuator it is a snap!

This is the junior of two different calcuators in the line.  They are both patterned after the widely used Construction Master units produced by Calculated Industres which are carried by almost every professional in the construction trade.  The unit I purchased is primarily geared towards a DIY user.  It has all the basic functions needed to figure square footage, etc.  You can easily convert from square footage to square yardage for floor covering and the like.

If you will really be computing complex building formulas like stair rise and rake or rafter lengths, etc, you may consider stepping up into the more high powered (more expensive) version.  If not, this unit will help you be more accurate in your projects.

I highly recommend this calculator. Just in passing, to Innacurate Tile Calculations, August 25, 2007 By Anonymous Reviewer from Atlanta 18 square feet of tile with 6 inch tiles is 72 tiles. With a grout line at each edge and between each tile, the answer was correct.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Innacurate Tile Calculations

The one and only calculation I attempted to use this for is tile count. The model 39749 gave me inaccurate couunt numbers. it calculates exactly twice the count of tile that I needed. Even the example is wrong. I have 18 sq ft to tile. With a 6 in tile that should be 36 tiles. The count provided by the model 39749 shows 69.09. I really like the concept. i would love to have one that works. If craftsman will fix this error I will be happy to change this rating.
