      It's not a sump pump

If you want a sump pump, Sears has many that work extremely well. If you want an easy way to empty water from your shop vac, this is ideal. Buy the right tool for the job!!!

      Awesome Pump

This item was very easy to attach and has saved me from a constant back ache. I get water every in my basement and other than having a new foundation poured there isn't much to do about it except vacuum it up. I was filling my 18 gallon shopvac (my dad's, which at least is 20 years old) and emptying it into my utility sink. After hooking this pump up to a garden hose it took about 1-2 minutes to empty. Very happy with this purchase

I would recommend this product to a friend.

The first pump was dead out of the box, had to exchange it.

Drove 180 miles round trip to buy pump so I can clean up flooded basement,  Hooked everything up and the pump was dead.  Had to drive back to Sears store for an exchange pump.  This one runs, but I already had water cleaned up!!!

Craftsman pump out wet/dry vac pump vastly improves the shop vac

When pumping water out of your basement rug in a hurricane, this little pump greatly improves the "cycle time" of all Craftsman wet/dry shop vacs.  With the pump, when the wet/dry shop vac gets full (dozens of times, sometimes after only three minutes of vacuuming while the water is entering your beloved basement apartment at 3.0+ gallons/minute!) you simply hit the "start" switch on the little pump and it quickly pumps the shop vac's full tank out, emptying into a connected garden hose that takes the water outside. You can keep working with the vacuum, even while the pump is draining the vacuum's tank!

Without this little pump attached to your wet/dry shop vac, you must do the following procedures every time the shop vac's multi-gallon tank gets full:

(1.) Turn off the shop vac's power; (2.) unsnap both catches that keep the lid on the shop vac; (3.) pull off the lid, heavy with the shop vac's pump; (4.) laborously push/pull the fully-loaded tank on wheels (16 gallons of dirty water, slopping in your face!) to the sink; (4.) laborously pick up the tank and it's sixteen gallons of dirty water, and dump it in the deep sink (pant! pant!); (5.) drag the now-empty tank over to the place where you are working (deeply flooded now, in your absence); (6.) re-attach the lid/motor; (7.) snap on the catches; (8.) kick on the power; (9.) commence pumping of your rug.  Three minutes later, it's time to do this all over again!

This little pump saves you all these steps!

      saves so much time!

We got a few of these for each vac. Saved us so much time wheeling the vac back and forth to dump it out each time. This pump is an amazing time saver and works super fast too!

      Craftsman Pump Out accessory

Worked very well, easy to install. Saved my back from lifting the wet vac to dump the water. One thing though, DO NOT let it drain below the strainer, you can hear it when it is there, or you will smell the motor burning.

I want to buy another one to have on hand.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Best product small to medium water removal

I?ve cleaned up many water logged basements and this product does the job for small to medium sized water problems.  What I mean by small to medium sized water problems is that the water is about a quarter to half inch high on the floor and I already have a sump pump.  Much of the water, when the level get?s to a certain level, does not have the ability to reach the sump pump.  I use the wet/dry vac pump accessory to clean up the excess water.  I don?t have to keep lugging a 16 gallon vacuum full of water over to the sump pump every time it gets full.

If the water level remains high enough, I can leave both the vacuum and pump on continuously.  Once the water level drops too low in the vacuum, the water level will not be able to keep up with the 10 gallon per minute pumping capability of the pump.  I then turn off the pump, keep vacuuming water until the water in the tub of the vacuum is high enough, and then I turn on the pump.  You have to judge between how much water you have to pump and the pump?s capability.  Like any tool, you have to know in real terms the limitations of the tool.  One key to remember is the pump and the vacuum has to be on at the same time.  I?ve been a contractor for over 25 years and this tool is a back saver; if you set it up correctly.  Hope this helps.

I would recommend this product to a friend.
