Craftsman  QuikSecure® Tractor Wheel Weights

Had all the same issues an the others did so I switched these out for a pair of lugghandles. Easier to use, easier to install and remove. Just a better product over all and does not get in the way like these did. Granted, these are good looking, but they don't work any where near as well as my Lugghandles.

The weights look GREAT , But you have to remove them to air up the tires and the Cam Locks are USELESS and the weights come loose.. BUT and again Its a BUT if you are at all handy with tools yoy Can deflate and break down the insde of the tire and drill ahole in the rim and INSTALL another Tire Valve . I used the bolt on type that uses the smaller hole for less drilling. ALSO I replace the useless cam bolts with regular bolts and leave the weights in place now that i can add air from the insade of the tire. Be sure you get the correct wights for your wheel size and you will love them

i WOULD HAVE GIVEN THIS A 5 BUT THE FINGERS THAT ARE SUPPOSE TO LOCK ON THE WEIGHT KEEPS COMING OPEN, OF COURSE THE WEIGHTS STILL DON'T FALL OFF

Good instructions. Instillation was easy enough for a novice to do. The weights worked great giving the tractor the extra traction it needed for our steep hill side.

This seems like a good product but be more careful than I was when ordering. I have a GT5000 tractor and after receiving these weights found that the item I need was a different item number. These are 24445 and for my tractor I needed 24446 - 1 digit makes all the difference in fit.

Had them installed in 10 minute and that included getting and putting away the tools. For the folks that had or are having issues installing the nuts in the back of the wheel, roll the tractor forward or backward to bring the holes to the bottom of the wheel. As far a shearing bolts, don't use a tool on installing the retaining studs. If they are too tight, once you get on the tractor, the tires will spread wider (your added weight) and the strain on the studs along with going over bumps can strip or shear the studs. They are only meant to hold the weight on, not support the tire pressure.

being a mechanic by trade they were a easy install and do a very good job on traction in yard even on my very hilly yard on other reviews i noticed a bolt problem if locked on good and tight very good chance they will hold

Don't get me wrong - I love Sears Craftsman products for their quality and value.  But I can't recommend these weights.  I tried these on my YT 4000 yard tractor, to use for snow plowing.  After just two weeks of light home use, the bolts on one side completely sheared off!  That's completely unacceptable.  I had the hassle of having to remove the other side, remove the remaining hardware from the failed side, lug the whole thing back to Sears, and then try something else (which also didn't work - the Suitcase Weight set, which didn't fit my tractor as advertised, meaning yet another trip to purchase my 3rd strategy, which finally worked - the rear weight kit).   Why would two bolts completely shear off?  Your guess is as good as mine, but I'm thinking poor quality steel from you guessed it, China.  Stay away from this one.

Only took about 25 minutes to install. A little hard to get behind the wheel but with the right tools not bad at all. Love the way they go on and off after the shaft is on. A lot better then my old ones.
