this item does not work straight out of box lengthen right hand eyelet and drill hole for left hand eylet remove 2 slot screws from bottom to ensure no gap. if a friend of mine needed a mulch kit i would recomend because there is not another fix.

This item does not fit the model no: 247.290000 (30" RER mower) due to an apparent re-design of the mower deck. A tab in the mower deck make it impossible to install.
