This is my most often used screwdriver. You can't beat the free replacement Craftsman guarantee.
The original I returned was just starting to lose the bite into the screw head and slipping.
There not as good as they used to be. I work on the car and odd jobs around the house. I have to return to Sears every couple of months to exchange because the head rounds out.
I use a number two Phillips screwdriver frequently for the work I do. Having high-quality tools is a benefit in getting the job done quickly. Lower grade tools tend to slip in the screws that I am trying to remove. Lower grade screwdrivers also tend to deform and become useless very quickly. I like the craftsman quality and the craftsman?s price.

I haven't had any problems with my #2 phillips, The tip fits into the screws pretty good and the tip hasn't chipped yet. I also have a Craftsman professional phillips and the rubber handle is a little more comfortable. But for occasional usage, this phillips works fine.
If you only own two screwdrivers this should be one of them; the other would be the 4 inch slotted screwdriver. Together these two have handled over ninety percent of all my screwdriver needs for over the last 45 years.

I wanted a screwdriver around the house, and really agonized over which size to get. Got this #2, and couldn't be happier. The #1 is much smaller and so you probably won't be able to apply too much force if you need it, while the #3 is much bigger overall and probably too big for most average uses around the house. I would emphasize that having the right size Phillips is crucial to not stripping out the screws, in my experience, so if you do a lot of work then you'll eventually need all of them. However, this #2 is a great place to start!
