The sharpener attachment is difficult to use - it doesn't move along the blade easily. It was easier just to use the grinding wheel without the plastic guide. Save your money and just buy the grinding wheel.

This inexpensive and easy to use tool accessory is about as straight-forward as a sharpening guide gets. After removing my lawnmower's blade it took me about 20 minutes to sharpen the blade back to, if not beyond its original factory edge. The angled slot takes the guesswork out of getting the correct bevel on the blade, but also restricts movement a little bit. Admittedly I wasn't using the tool as directed, holding the blade 1 hand with my rotary tool in the other - as opposed to using a vice to secure the blade. For a new homeowner this tool saved the money I would have otherwise spent in a bench grinder or time, had I opted to do this job by hand with a file.

I already owned a Dremmel tool but wanted to see if it could be used to sharpen my mower blade. Sears had my solution. Their Craftsman sharpening attachment is simple to use and only costs about $10.

I hired a fertilizer company to weed and feed 5 times a year. I read in a brochure that they gave me that said you should sharpen your mower blade 3 times a year. This product is great for that if you have a dremel or maybe you could use a dremel for something else. I use my dremel for RC airplanes and cutting drywall around electrial boxes. The grinders are standard and replacements are only a dollar or so. I hope this helps. Adam Bleile, Norwalk, OH
