I purchased the socket organizers both in standard and metric. I did not put them in my new toolbox for about a year after I purchased them. I sure could have kicked myself for not putting them in the box sooner. Since I placed them in the drawers I wanted them in, I wish I hadn't waited so long to install them. Everybody that has seen my toolbox comments how neat it looks and how easy it is to find the right socket. Wish I had them back when I was wrenching for a living. Whoever invented this product is a pretty smart feller.

Like the look of having all my sockets organized but had to dremel out some holes to make my craftsman universal set fit.

A great idea and they work well. I only wish you could by the pieces seperately also because I needed more of certain trays to store all my tools. I ended up buying 2 sets and now I have trays I don't need and still need more of certain ones.

Good organizer for loose sockets in tool box
via sears.com
Bought a socket organizer for my tool drawer and, unfortunately, when I tried it, it didn't fit. It was an eighth of an inch too big. The way the support pegs holes were set up close to the edge of the organizer, you couldn't shave off anything to make it fit without ruining the product. I had to take it back. It was returned and the money cheerfully refunded. Of course, I will be back to buy more tools, etc. next time. Just wish it would have fit, but in all fairness, it wasn't a Craftsman tool drawer set.

This organizer is ok, if you have a lot of extra space to fill in your tool cabinet. This thing can take up 3 or 4 drawers. Way too much space wasted in between sockets. I have way too many other tools besides just sockets. If all cabinets had 30 or more drawers to use, this would be great. I suggest using Regular and Metric socket sets in there own cases, they are much more condensed. In picture it looks good. But, it is only showing one size of sockets in 1 drawer. Remember, this set is only sized for Crastsman sockets. Other brands may not fit. There are 3 or 4 sizes of sockets in most peoples sets. 1/4", 3/8". 1/2", maybe some 3/4" That is 3 or 4 drawers needed. Not for me.

Pretty cheap plastic

It fits the drawer of full-sized craftsman tool boxes perfectly. It does not fit all sockets perfectly. (Some are pretty loose and a few don't even go into the holes.) But the worst part is that its too tall to easily be able to take out shallow sockets and does not support deep very well without a drawer liner. Also there is only one hole for 1/4" drive metrice sockets so it won't hold shallow and deep. I will be returning it and buying the hansen peg style holders.

this set consists of 6 plastic boards with holes for sockets. however, half are metric, and half are sae. since i ONLY have metric, the sae is useless. also, the metric boards have several sizes that no one in their right mind would ever get. 6, 7, 9, 15, 16, 18 to list a few. of the 3 drive sizes, 1/4", 3/8" and 1/2, the 3/8 and 1/2 have 2 rows for each socket. one row for 6 pt, and one for 12 pt. i quit using 12 pt more than 20 years ago. the extra row is handy for my deep sockets, but the 1/4 only has one row. what about specialty sockets, like my flex head sockets? allen sockets? torx sockets? and no serious mechanic keeps only 1 socket of the common sizes. the 1/2" board takes up more than half the space, and is the most useless. whomever designed this is NOT a tool person
