Soft face hammer with a fiberglass handle that's 12-1/2 in. long. Includes composite face tips - for all types of non-marring applications. 1 in. Dia. tip with brown soft face, for use with delicate surfaces; 1 in. Dia. Tip with red medium face, for use with soft to medium surfaces; 1 in. Dia. tip with black hard face, for durable surfaces; and 1 in. Dia. tip with yellow extra-hard face, for use on hard surfaces.

This hammer is perfect for someone like me. I do carpentry, car repair, light metal work, and general home repair. This hammer is useful in many applications. If I did more metal and car work I would purchase separate hammers.

This hammer works great, it is very helpful for those small jobs where you dont want to damage whatever material you are working with. I like that they have 2 different materials on each side-a hard plastic and a soft rubber mallet head.

I use this hammer as a tool for assembling some parts including hammering on a fiberglass shaft. I needed a head firm enough to not be damaged quickly, but also softer than a metal hammer as to avoid damaging the fiberglass. This hammer fits the need well.

These soft face hammers are a great value because they come with extra tips. I use one in my mobile Craftsman service set and it drops right in the toolbox. Plus they don't weigh a lot. They come in real handy when trying to remove or replace a mower deck on a riding mower. You can tap on the large spring loaded pins that hold the mower deck in place and either pop them in or out. These hammers are well suited for pounding on surfaces that you do not want to do much damage to.

I bought this to use when i am concerned about marring the surface. It stays in the tool box a lot, but it is one of those must have tools. There are some tools that save time on certain jobs, this is one of them. The different tips fit many applications.

When I purchased this hammer I actually intended to get a 1 lbs dead-blow hammer, While I was walking through all the various striking tools I found this verstile little gem. With the removable tips (4 in all) I can adjust this hammer to just the right striking surface for the job at hand. This hammer has a very nice balance which is well complimented by its fiberglass anti-vibration handle. The grip is deigned with air pockets to further disperse vibration. You will love this hammer too!
