this sander is good buy it to add one more to my garage my other one is snapon but well is a lot more expensive than this one but this one get the goob done too the only reason I give it a 3 stars Is cuz like the other review says sears don't carry sand paper

I bought the straight line sander on line and it was delivered in only a few days. The reason I have given the tool a poor rating has nothing to do with the tool. It does have to do with the fact that Sears could not sell me the sandpaper to use with the tool. If I could have cut the size needed from a standard 9x11 sheet, I would have done so. The sander takes a 2-1/2x16 piece of sandpaper. I went to my local Sears store and they did not have any this size. I was told to call a Sears with a parts department. That did not get any results. I then called the number on the back of my Sears Power and Hand Tool Catalog. The person I talked to tried very hard to find the sandpaper and was amazed when he could not. I could buy the sandpaper from another straight line sander company on line but they want you to buy 50 packs containing a certain grit. You would need to buy several packs with different grits and they are not cheap. I will return the sander.
