Product Description
Craftsman straight shaft attachment is applicable on any Craftsman attachment-capable trimmer. The Craftsman exclusive hassle-free head features a patented glide system that allows for easy line loading. The spiral .110 in. trimmer line is more durable, producing a 14 in. cut swath, and engineered for a quieter cut. This attachment is also applicable with most attachment-capable trimmers on the market, including Ryobi, Troy-Bilt, Husqvarna, Poulan, Poulan Pro, Cub Cadet, Toro, Yard Machines and Homelite.

Overall, others give this:

The gears ground themselves to pieces on the first few hours of use out of the box. It went from brand new to trash can. After reading another review on the price of repair under warranty, i'll look for another brand as a replacement.

Like the trimmer but the hassle free not so much. The line doesn't hold up so you are constantly changing the line. I have to carry extra line with and continuously have to stop and change. If you have small lawn with no rocks to trim around, it may be okay but if you have a lawn with alot of trimming apt for the bump head not this one.

I bought the Craftsman Powerhead with the string trimmer as a combination set to build on. The string trimmer worked great right up until the gears in the head ground themselves up. I sent it out for a repair which was fixed under warranty. The cost of the repair was $74.14 which is ironically close to the purchase price of this attachment. After about 9 months the gears once again ground themselves up and the head stopped rotating. This time I took it apart myself to see the damage first hand and look for a possible design flaw or my own personal user error, I found no fault. Another 10 months passes and this morning I dropped it off once again for repair. The problem this time is that I'm out of warranty and not really looking forward to paying for the repair of a faulty item especially because a new one is just 5 dollars more than the repair would cost.
