Overall, others give this:
In trying to remove filters in small vehicles - like mowers, atvs, and other jobs - this tool was very adaptable and did the job. Sometimes filters are at odd angles and hard to grasp but this made the work so much easier. I have no doubt I will find many other uses for this strap wrench.

Use two of these to open jars or use one to hold the jar while using one of the other tools on the lid. Two of them will easily open even the Gia Russa pasta sauce jars which can be a real fight. I put labels reading "Jar" on one side and "Lid" on the other to make it clear which side goes up in each position. The straps have a nasty smell which dissipates over time and washing them helps. It may not be completely obvious that the strap threads through the slot in handle so that it lies alongside the handle.
I just picked this Strap Wrench up this afternoon. It was more of a whim while I was strolling the aisle of Sears. I checked the reviews and I was a bit hesitant to buy it. But, I am glad that I did. I agree with others that this is NOT the tool for heavy torqueing. But, it is absolutely fantastic for light jobs. The small size of the wrench is really convenient. The handle is quite comfortable and it works like a charm. I finished up a minor plumbing job that I have been procrastinating. The rubber strap is great. Also note that this is covered by the Craftsman Lifetime Warranty.

Does what it is supposed to do. Was a bit concerned it would be too small to work well, but it does work as intended. Small size helps in smaller spaces.

It's got a rubber strap so it won't slip like the fabric strap wrenches - also means don't leave it out. It's a fiber reinforced strap but won't be able to tell how well it holds up until it breaks. Use it for lighter torque pipes, bottles, etc. If you got a heavily torqued metal pipe, you might need a chain strap wrench if you don't mind. It's got a sturdy plastic handle.
Great for loosening small objects. The model you carried earlier was more attractive and came in a set of two. This one will suffice for all need for loosing or tightening things too big for my hands or a wrench.
Despite the claims on the back of the package, the majority of oil filters are much too tight to be loosened with a rubber strap wrench, get a cap type or metal strap oil filter wrench instead. However, this wrench is perfect for loosening or tightening tub spouts, chromed faucet valve covers, Delta single handle shower valve cartridge nut, any plumbing fixture that needs to be tightened but would be marred with a stillson wrench.
I have trouble opening any top that screws off as I have bad arthritis but this item helps to open anything--even a small aspirin bottle cap.
