I have trouble opening any top that screws off as I have bad arthritis but this item helps to open anything--even a small aspirin bottle cap.

Is really meant to only be able to tighten one way. rubber loop is about 1/4" from the bottom when loosening or tightening in reverse. Also fell apart after first use, it not meant to be heavy duty.

This little wrench is pretty handy, but ours broke under torque. No problem, though. Sears replaced it for free.

This strap wrench works for what I do. I have had it for about 4 years and it still works like the day I got it. Overall awesome tool.

This wrench is useful around the house and has excellent grip compared to other brands.

After 'maturing' and losing some of the strength in my hands, I know the difficulty of trying to open jars and bottles. Several years ago, a male friend gave me the small Craftsman strap wrench. It has worked so well that I've bought several more for other friends who live alone and need a third extra-strong hand in the kitchen. It has replaced a metal - jawed jar opener, various rubber grippers and a lot of banging on the countertops and relieved a lot of stress so I can once again enjoy cooking.

I went to buy this strap wrench in a larger size, but Sears was out. So I took a chance on the small one. It's cute 'n stuff and should work ok around the Kitchen! But as a tool for opening or turning anything other than a stuck jar lid, it's almost useless. It did not break because I could hardly get any torque with it. It just rolled over and did almost nothing. I'm a handyman and a mechanic so I know how to use tools. I'm going to try the larger size when it comes in, but I'm not expecting much.
