      Excellent Product
This spring compressor is very easy to use. In fact, I even used it to remove the rear springs (instead of using the pry bar method). They easily compressed the upgraded (stiffer) after-market springs for my 2006 Pontiac GTO. I highly recommend this tool.

Don't buy if you own a honda..
Do not buy this tool of you have an acura or honda, it will not work with most of their springs... The jaws are too big to fit into the spring.. Now I have to return this and buy something that works! WASTE OF TIME!

      Spring Compressor

Worked superbly, rented spring compressors before from the local parts store, they were really no match in quality for these Craftsman, they made the job so easy changing the struts on my Wife's car!

I would recommend this product to a friend.

      Worked as advertised.

For the cost of what my local garage was going to charge me to remove and install new springs on my struts/shocks I was able to purchase this tool.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Fine if your have small springs

These are well built but not understood was that the max diameter is 5/8". Most are larger and require a larger set of compressors.

I bought it to use on my truck. Wouldn't work. Could have used it on any other model.

      Decent value for the money

The product was reasonably well made for the price, but it was a bit large and not able to compress smaller springs or in tight places. Works well on larger struts and springs, but not on the smaller compact car sizes.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

      Exactly what I needed

While replacing struts I found I needed to compress the spring to get the old shock absorber out and the new one in. These worked perfectly; after three attempts I had the top and bottom of the strut assembly perfectly aligned for re-installation. I could not have done this job without them.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

      Strut Spring Size

On 2001 Toyota Tacoma the spring diameter is too large for the safety pins to engage. Built very well and of quality.

      very sturdy

had no problem with 2001 Jetta struts. The locking pin gives you a lot of confidence that it cannot release the spring on you.
