This product is completely unreliable. I could never get the same reading twice in a row and the stud finder was rarley right. I depended on this product to hang a TV in my house and all I ended up with was unusable holes in the wall.

This isn't the most exact stud finder, but for the price it's decent (I did not want to spend $50 for the top of the line). I'm using this as a backup to a magnetic stud finder.

I have tried several stud finders in the past that were lot more expensive and did not always give me the confidence to drill a hole into the wall. I got this because it was inexpensive and the reviews were promising. I was not disappointed. This delivers and hits a stud each time.

I love having this for when I am wanting to hand a picture...especially if it's heavy and I need to anchor it. It's very simple and easy to use. With a quick click on the side and slide it across the wall, you'll know where the stud is. Very handy to keep in toolbox!!

When looking for tools sometimes I need high quality and some times I just need something to get the job done quick. I do not need to be running all over the place to many different stores to find something. Sears has a good range of products and and good range within each product. This is important to me.

A little frustrating at times especially if there is an electrical wire on the stud you're looking for as it will confuse the stud finder. Otherwise great for the money if you aren't using it a lot

I am an old school hammer tapper, but bought my non-handy husband this for Christmas one year. I thought that would be easier than teaching the in's and out's of hammer tapping to find studs. This has enabled my husband to find studs in times where he would NEVER HAVE THE CONFIDENCE to decide it was a stud to use. Easy to use, even for the non DIY selfer; can motiviate you to find studs in places you really don't even need to know where they are, just for fun!

I used it to put up a frame for my pegboard in the garage and it worked like a champ. Super easy to use, the instructions were simple to follow. Once I got going it was a breeze to locate all the studs I needed. It does a great job for a low price. It feels really light so I don't know how well or if it will continue to work if dropped but I don't plan on testing that.
