Torx sockets are a lot like hex bit sockets seem, they seem rather clumsy, not slim and easy to use as are screwdriver-like torx drivers. But wait until you have a long series of Torx fasteners to loosen, or one that needs some extra encouragement. Then a Torx bit on a ratchet is the perfect solution. Better yet, use a speed handle for that long line of fasteners. You will not want to use that screwdriver-like torx driver again for Torx fasteners. Keep a set of these in your tool box.
