I was in a bind and I needed a tap and die set for my mechanical problem with a stripped out bolt permanently attached to my truck frame. I wasn't sure if it was a metric or standard bolt and I stressed about buying a standard set or a metric set of tap and dies. Many times I've wanted to buy a set from sears, but just couldn't quite bring myself to do it--then I really needed one and this was a perfect excuse to get it! When I got to Sears (my favorite place to buy tools) I found this set which is both metric and standard. Hallelujah! I think I would have bought just standard and it turned out to be metric that I needed. This was a perfect set and I'm excited to have it. It was just what the doctor ordered and I fixed my mechanical problem. Buy it!

I've used this set 4-5 times now to both make new threads and clean up old ones. Absolutely no complaints. Take your time and use lots of oil!!!

I got this product for myself and i couldn't be any happier. aside from the previous review, my eyes are shot and i still can read the size on the taps and die without a magnifing glass. good price for what you get. ill use it for years.

I received this set for a Birthday present. The size and pitch marking on the tools are all but invisible. I need a magnifying glass and a flashlight to see what tap you have in your hand, and thats with good eyes. Very poor quality Not what is expected from a CRAFTSMAN tool.
