Got these when they were on sale for 9.99. They come in different colors so I got the red and blue one so when I lay it somewhere I can find it. When I was in the army I ONLY bought maglight and I thought they were the best till now. Don't get me wrong i love the small maglights but buying the bulbs for 3.00 is not cool. So buy the craftsman light its bright long lasting and well built.
The flashlight look nice and works well. It's not the brightest light around, but it does have a zoom. You should be aware that the color in the picture is gray, but mine was light blue. I like the color so no complaints here.
It's ok, but I really expected more. When the package said that it focuses the light beam, I expected to be able to focus the light beam like the MagLite. The light beam actually leaves a dark spot in the center of the beam. That makes it awkward to use.

I am an outdoorsman. I carry this flashlight on 50-mile backpacking trips from the Appalachian Trail to the Pacific Crest Trail. I like it because its sturdy construction gives me a sense that this is a flashlight that can take a beating and keep on lighting.

Craftsman is usually great - and then I bought this flashlight. Very disapointed. The light is not very bright and there is no real on/off switch. How dumb is that? If you have the battery comparment unscrewed then you can push the bottom for on, until you let the bottom go. To keep it on you have to screw in the battery/bottom cover. This is the dumbest design I have ever encountered. Buy some other flashlight and avoid this one.
I bought this for my roommate as an extra gift for Christmas. He has problems seeing and this flashlight has a nice bright beam and is not too big for him to carry around.
Sure, it's rugged, but unless you have the eyes of a Great Snowy Owl, this gadget doesn't put out enough light to help you find your shoes (and they're right there, where you left them). There are far better LED flashlights to be had. Look on the counter of any hardware store, by the cash register - you'll find several with, like, 167 LED's and a laser pointer for less money than this Craftsman POS. And for $1.37, when you lose or break it, you won't be at all upset.
I lost my previous flashlight and I just happened to be thinking about that while at a Sears. I try to buy most of my tools and such from there since Craftsman has never let me down but I'm just not really happy with this. The materials don't feel high quality and it looks like the chrome may chip off. I did just open it so I have no experience using it. What I don't like is to use it you have to screw the bottom cap on. When you're done you screw it off. No button. No switch. This means that when you're walking around the bottom is not secured 100% on the bottom. There is a push button that will temporarily turn it on but goes off when you let it go. I guess that's a good feature if you need that but I'd rather have a solid switch to use.
