This is a nice accessory to have either in the shop or trailer which allows you to take your miter saw with you should find yourself working away from your home base. I used this for a couple of projects where we were having to cut specific pieces onsite in order to ensure a proper fit of deck pieces. This stand can handle some of the heavier miter saw out there and did well with the 2'x4' and 2'x6' pieces that we were working with no problem at all. The lumber materials were no more than 10' in length so I can't speak about lumber of heavier or longer proportions.
This is a good accessory to pick up for projects if you know you're going to have to be portable.

For the money this is a great helper stand. I don't think it was built for commercial jobs but at this price level what is ? I took my time and put it together and used a a little WD-40 on the way. This is basically all aluminum so patience is a must. After everything was assembled it looks & works perfect. I know this is made in china but I wasn't going to purchase another "color" for more money & they are also made over there ! Look at the pictures on the box. There are NO pictures of anything bigger than trim pieces ! Also the picture shows a garage floor not a dirt job site in the snow ! After all it's not $995 or more ! It's a simple basic inexpensive tool & it works perfectly.

I bought this to go with a mathcing saw. the saw is fine but low end. The stand folds and rolls ok. however do no think you can get parts for it when, not if, when they break. and guess what, its made in china. I dont want to get on a high horse but stop buying anything made in china!!!! Americans need to work and they also make things that last. This stand suuuuuuuucks!!!! and 0 help from anyone at Sears

First the stand is made of heavy duty aluminum which makes it much lighter than steel. The saw is very easy to put on and off the stand. I like the wood panels that attach to the saw because that makes it easier and cheaper to attach other power tools to the stand. I can attach my miter saw, router table and chop saw. Out of the box the stand was easy to set up and everything worked fine. If it was a little easier to set up I would give it a 5 star.

The stand is garbage and substandard quality. Out of the box one of the extension arms was stuck and binding and would not extend from the table. Had to take the stand apart and spray WD-40 in the channel and beat the arm out for it to work. The metal braces for the legs are crap cheap steel. For the money you would think it would be built better. I have not had a chance to mount the saw and put it to use so can't speak to how it preforms or how the mounting goes. If you looking for a good miter saw table I would look elsewhere.

I was expecting something better from Craftsman...when I got this home and put it together. I found that it was wobbly. The unit was a little crooked, the legs were not all touching the ground. Returned it got a different brand.( nice yellow one) I am much happier now

I purchased the stand and got it put together. Didn't care for the boards you were suppose to screw to your saw. But, I still could live with that. What turned me off was rolling it up my driveway to the garage. The wheel snapped off. That wasn't the Craftsman quailty I expected.

The usefulness of the stand is great but the con's make me want to buy a different stand at this point. One, I can't fold up the stand with the saw in place...the plastic pieces are breaking left and right (or simply go missing). I think this stand is better off staying in one place and not being used at different locations. I have only had it at (3) different job sites and I think it will only last a couple more before the stand is not going to be portable. I'm not a carpenter either which is the sad part...I renovate homes but only go into the properties to finish a few different areas, put chair rail up or base, nothing too extensive. I like the stand but if anyone plans to use this for work I would suggest upgrading to a more durable mobile unit. My 12" compound miter saw feels pretty solid on it but the way its secured in place makes me question things too. The particular board is a little broken up. Thus far for use I have just replaced the blade once.

Not what I thought it was judging from the pictures. Needed a saw stand to hold my miter saw when the stand was folded up in my shop. This saw stand cannot be folded with the saw still attached. It is nothing more than a stationary stand. The saw even has to be removed to fold the stand up.
