Overall, others give this:

It took me a while to figure out how to open the knife comfortably. Then I laid the knife in my hand backwards, then I push the button in. "Works for Me" The other way was hard to hold.

I wound up returning it before I used it because it seemed very flimsy/cheap when I took it apart to get a blade, and it was difficult to reassemble (the blades are kept in the handle).

I have a 20 year old knife and this new one is as solid and well made. Craftsman quality has not declined over time.

I have to admit, it looks like it is put together in China, but I've put it through a beating and it is still working great. The grips make it pretty comfortable to apply heavy pressure. Pretty easy to change out blades too.

I purchased this Craftsman utility knife to replace an old utility knife. The blade locking position stays locked even with a fair amount of pressure when cutting. The locking positions could better a little better offering more cutting blade lengths. It comes with three total blades and has a nice push release to replace the old blade. The case is durable for when it is dropped or stepped on. I like the fact that you do not have to remove a screw to replace the blade. Just be careful as the push button is plastic and may break.

The craftsman 94832 utility knife is pretty good for the lower cost knifes on the market. The snap together is a nice feature and allows quick blade changes. However, after repeaded use the latching mechanizum does wear a bit and it does not stay tightly together. Probably more than suffient for the average homeowner, but the everyday contractor might need something more robust. Overall pretty good for the money.

The handle feels nice, the blade goes in and out nicely. But the blade is very lose! It moves around more than any utility knife that I have ever had. This may not be a mjaor issue in most apllications but if you need to do precise cutting, do not buy this knife.
