25 cc weedwacker

excellent item for the price, easy to start and is perfect size if you are not 6 foot 2" or taller, it is ideal for shorter people not having to bend over to get the job done, mine has been very dependable and it beats the older models i have had before. I would not recomend this for a very tall person but for me the length and wt is ideal, i give this cutter a 5 star rating..

Shame on Craftsman....this one tarnishes it's reputation.

I literally bought this trimmer an hour ago, Now i'm just waiting for the engine to cool off so I can return it.

It's a process to get it started following the directions. - prime bulb 10x then place choke to setting 1 and pull 4x.. then move to choke setting 2 and pull 3x... then choke 3 and allow engine to run for 30 sec.. etc.etc.etc.  (I'm not kidding!! It actually lists ALL of these steps to get it started.)  Once started (huff, huff) the engine wouldn't rev to full power without manipulating the choke and once it was actually placed IN the grass to trim... it bogged down excessively!

The trimmer shaft is way too short (I'm 5'11") and you have to uncomfortably bend over for it to touch the ground.  - If you're 4'9" it would be a perfect fit though.

I bought this unit to replace my old Craftsman trimmer I had for over 8 years.  The head gasket was blown and it leaked oil/gas and became very difficult to start.  This NEWLY purchased unit is a JOKE compared to all my prior Craftsman products, as I said, Shame on Craftsman for putting their name on this one.  I would definetly NOT recommend this to a friend.

In hind sight..... I only paid $74 for it at Sears and was hoping that the Brand Name alone wouldn't let me down.

Ultimately   -  "You Get What You Pay For"

Very pleased with this purchase

I finally needed to get another weed wacker and this one was priced really good on sale. With the curved head it works really well and is easy on the back. I am 6ft tall and most others I am bending over way too much and your back is killing you until you are done. I prefer the bump feature instead of the manual feed line. Plus the bump feed has two sets of line coming out for very nice cutting power. Definitely a thumbs up on this one!

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Gas WeedWacker

This is a purchase my husband did. From what he tells me he is pleased with it and it works great. It's a little noisy for my taste but he doesn't mind.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Good price on a decent product

Gets the job done and can't complain because it is a very low cost product. I did not give it 5 stars because if I had to do it over again I probably would spend a little more and step up to the next model. I am average height 5'10" and the handle is a little short so I would probably go with the straight shaft. Also, although it gets the job done, does have a little less umph than the one I replaced. Perfect for light duty and a very good price, easy to start.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Craftsman WeedWacker

I wasn't satisfied with the weedwacker because it would not feed new line properly. I had to stop weed eating several times to rewind the line. Very frustrating. I finally took off the line reel from the new weedwacker and installed the line reel from my old weedeater in order to finish weed eating my yard. The weedwacker started easily and it ran smoothly. The only problem was the line feed.
