25 cc weedwacker

excellent item for the price, easy to start and is perfect size if you are not 6 foot 2" or taller, it is ideal for shorter people not having to bend over to get the job done, mine has been very dependable and it beats the older models i have had before. I would not recomend this for a very tall person but for me the length and wt is ideal, i give this cutter a 5 star rating..

Shame on Craftsman....this one tarnishes it's reputation.

I literally bought this trimmer an hour ago, Now i'm just waiting for the engine to cool off so I can return it.

It's a process to get it started following the directions. - prime bulb 10x then place choke to setting 1 and pull 4x.. then move to choke setting 2 and pull 3x... then choke 3 and allow engine to run for 30 sec.. etc.etc.etc.  (I'm not kidding!! It actually lists ALL of these steps to get it started.)  Once started (huff, huff) the engine wouldn't rev to full power without manipulating the choke and once it was actually placed IN the grass to trim... it bogged down excessively!

The trimmer shaft is way too short (I'm 5'11") and you have to uncomfortably bend over for it to touch the ground.  - If you're 4'9" it would be a perfect fit though.

I bought this unit to replace my old Craftsman trimmer I had for over 8 years.  The head gasket was blown and it leaked oil/gas and became very difficult to start.  This NEWLY purchased unit is a JOKE compared to all my prior Craftsman products, as I said, Shame on Craftsman for putting their name on this one.  I would definetly NOT recommend this to a friend.

In hind sight..... I only paid $74 for it at Sears and was hoping that the Brand Name alone wouldn't let me down.

Ultimately   -  "You Get What You Pay For"

Yet another quality Craftsman product

The Craftsman Curved Shaft WeedWacker Gas Trimmer replaced my old Craftman trimmer I bought at Sears 10 years ago. This one feels much more lighter and easier to start than the old one. Thorougly satisfied with the product.

Needed something fast

It was easy to start. I have Carpal Tunnel and arthritis in my hands so I found the grip while using it caused hand and arm fatigue quickly. The vibrations were so jarring I couldn't use it for more than 15 minutes. I'm 5'4 and it was awkward trying to lean in to use it also. It felt like it was running away from me, I cut a few unsuspecting plants down. But I needed something quick and local. I guess I got what I paid for. Looking at others to replace later in the season.

Good trimmer

Not too heavy, easy to start, easy to control. I liked the ease of starting the most as older trimmers have always been hard, but this one primed right up and idled quickly.

I would recommend this product to a friend.
