25 cc weedwacker

excellent item for the price, easy to start and is perfect size if you are not 6 foot 2" or taller, it is ideal for shorter people not having to bend over to get the job done, mine has been very dependable and it beats the older models i have had before. I would not recomend this for a very tall person but for me the length and wt is ideal, i give this cutter a 5 star rating..

Shame on Craftsman....this one tarnishes it's reputation.

I literally bought this trimmer an hour ago, Now i'm just waiting for the engine to cool off so I can return it.

It's a process to get it started following the directions. - prime bulb 10x then place choke to setting 1 and pull 4x.. then move to choke setting 2 and pull 3x... then choke 3 and allow engine to run for 30 sec.. etc.etc.etc.  (I'm not kidding!! It actually lists ALL of these steps to get it started.)  Once started (huff, huff) the engine wouldn't rev to full power without manipulating the choke and once it was actually placed IN the grass to trim... it bogged down excessively!

The trimmer shaft is way too short (I'm 5'11") and you have to uncomfortably bend over for it to touch the ground.  - If you're 4'9" it would be a perfect fit though.

I bought this unit to replace my old Craftsman trimmer I had for over 8 years.  The head gasket was blown and it leaked oil/gas and became very difficult to start.  This NEWLY purchased unit is a JOKE compared to all my prior Craftsman products, as I said, Shame on Craftsman for putting their name on this one.  I would definetly NOT recommend this to a friend.

In hind sight..... I only paid $74 for it at Sears and was hoping that the Brand Name alone wouldn't let me down.

Ultimately   -  "You Get What You Pay For"

Weeding Out The Problem

This Craftsman WeedWacker gas trimmer is for light duty and jobs. It performs well though. I recommend it to anyone looking for just simple weedeating around the home.

Worst Ever Purchase

Excellent price. Shaft is too short, I am a 5'6 female and I had to bend over in order to get the job done, imagine a 6'0 male trying to use this product, ouch. I hated the bump head, the string did not come out as you bumped and it ran out fast, it would not be cost effective as to a straight no hassle weedeater. This is yet the worst weedeater I've ever bought, and there have been several (craftman).

So far so good...

I bought this a couple months ago but finally just fired it up this weekend. I bought the special craftsman fuel for it which may have helped but it fired right up. I thought the 7 step start process was kind of crazy but it worked well, fired right up and ran great. I don't like the bump feed head. Or maybe it's the cheap line it comes with but it kept breaking off inside the head causing me to have to take it off every so often...annoying! But with some better line I think this should serve the purpose for my 0.75 acre yard. Oh, but it is pretty short! I am 6'2" and kind of wish I had bought a longer straight shaft. But for the price I can't complain.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

works well

Following the instructions it started up just fine. I am used to using a chainsaw so the gas mix and start up procedure are similar. Used it on edges of 1 acre lawn and around gardens/walkways. It worked well, bogging down a little in heavy grasses. I used up much of the line though in 1 hour. Summary: started fine, ran well, cut well, needs more line. Good item for the price.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Pretty Nice

After looking at all my options for the trimmers, I thought the product I bought was the best deal. I haven't had any problems with my Craftsman Weedwacker so far and I bought the warranty with it as well which I thought was a good investment in case anything happens to it. I doubt anything really will since it's a really good brand but all in all I'd really recommend this product to anyone and it was worth every penny.

1st one returned for second in service third doesn't start

1st one out of the box wouldn't start, returned for another which started but died everytime i put it in full throtle, finally took to the service center which sent me somewhere else to get it fixed (extra waranty is a joke). I feel like a fool buying another, now i have one in service, another that doesn't work and the grass just keeps growing. I wouldn't recommend this product to a friend or anyone else.

Gas Weedwacker and Edger Attachment

LOVE this new gas weed wacker! We bought the edger attachment as well, so we reduced our lawn tools by one! Edger is fantastic- does the job in seconds that a traditional edger takes. Only negative- it is slightly heavier than previous weed wacker.

I would recommend this product to a friend.
