25 cc weedwacker

excellent item for the price, easy to start and is perfect size if you are not 6 foot 2" or taller, it is ideal for shorter people not having to bend over to get the job done, mine has been very dependable and it beats the older models i have had before. I would not recomend this for a very tall person but for me the length and wt is ideal, i give this cutter a 5 star rating..

Shame on Craftsman....this one tarnishes it's reputation.

I literally bought this trimmer an hour ago, Now i'm just waiting for the engine to cool off so I can return it.

It's a process to get it started following the directions. - prime bulb 10x then place choke to setting 1 and pull 4x.. then move to choke setting 2 and pull 3x... then choke 3 and allow engine to run for 30 sec.. etc.etc.etc.  (I'm not kidding!! It actually lists ALL of these steps to get it started.)  Once started (huff, huff) the engine wouldn't rev to full power without manipulating the choke and once it was actually placed IN the grass to trim... it bogged down excessively!

The trimmer shaft is way too short (I'm 5'11") and you have to uncomfortably bend over for it to touch the ground.  - If you're 4'9" it would be a perfect fit though.

I bought this unit to replace my old Craftsman trimmer I had for over 8 years.  The head gasket was blown and it leaked oil/gas and became very difficult to start.  This NEWLY purchased unit is a JOKE compared to all my prior Craftsman products, as I said, Shame on Craftsman for putting their name on this one.  I would definetly NOT recommend this to a friend.

In hind sight..... I only paid $74 for it at Sears and was hoping that the Brand Name alone wouldn't let me down.

Ultimately   -  "You Get What You Pay For"

Excellent value and works well!

I used my SYWR to get this item for a lot less and I could not be happier. It is a very good trimmer and cuts what it needs to perfectly. You will not be disappointed in buying this. Solid trimmer for the price.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Works fine and I particularly like the .95 string and the screw on and off piece that used when changing the string

Overall
Great price

Caught this on sale with free can of oil/ gas. Great price compared to other weed eaters only thing that would make it even better would be easier start. To much pull on this level and that level to go through to get started 1st time. Other than that great addition for less than 70 bucks on sale.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Great So Far

My previous Craftsman String Trimmer lasted 10 years before it died. I thought this was reasonable, so I bought another one. This one seems similar to the last and is working fine so far. Some find the startup procedure tedious, but if you follow the directions exactly, it starts easily and every time.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Good purchase

I am very pleased with my new craftsman 25cc weed eater. It starts easily and cuts very well. I would recommend this product because of its quality and reasonable cost.I have had more expensive models that didnt do as good a job as this one.If you are looking for a dandy weed-eater then look no further....this is the one.

Works great

There's reviews about the weed wacker not starting... To those, I ask, have you ever used a 2 stroke engine before? Starts great. Has enough power for what I use it for. Like others have said, if you're over 6'2" the shaft if probably a little short. Perfect for me and I'm 6'.

I would recommend this product to a friend.
