      Ok trimmer
The trimmer itself is really nice, lightweight and easy to handle but the red line used to actually cut the edges is very flimsy! I tried to pick up thicker line because I was going through one in two seconds and there is not a stronger more durable line that I can use with this trimmer.....very disappointing!

      Bad Product
After assembling it, added gas mixture and primed per instructions. After about 20 pulls it still wouldn't start, primed it again and after another 15 pulls it finally started. It ran rough but I was able to trim part of my lawn. The following day tried to start it and after about 20 pulls it still wouldn't start so I packed it up and returned. I figured it was just a bad unit so I exchanged it for another. Got the second one home and gassed it up and primed it and this one wouldn't start at all. Returned it and got a refund. I should have checked the ratings before I bought it 40 one star ratings doesn't say much for this product. Craftsman used to make reliable products but I wouldn't buy one again.

      Didn't last many years

Purchased in 2010. I had it repaired in 2013 and yesterday the repair shop said it was toast. I only use it once a week for 15 to 20 minutes, so maybe 7 to 8 hours run time total per season. It runs but will not run high rpms. They replaced the carb and said it didn't help. Like so many others I expect more from Craftsman.

      HORRIBLE

Purchased this thinking "it's a Craftsman, it'll be great". Not so. I purchased it on 6/7/15, took it home and my husband tried it out for several minutes, didn't like it. I got it out on 6/14/15 to try it out. Horrible. The trimmer lines don't last. I trimmed around two trees and the line needed replaced. I got about 15 feet along my fence line and the line needed replaced. If you don't want ripped up areas around where you trim, don't trim anything remotely tall (I'd say taller than 6 inches). The grass will wrap around the head, pull down to the left, then strike the area you're not trimming, leaving gouge marks all around. I wouldn't say this thing "trims", it looks more like it rips the grass. On 6/16/15, I attempted to return it to where I purchased it. They wouldn't take it back. They said for me to call Craftsman. I contacted Craftsman that day. I was told, "if its not defective we won't do anything about it, sorry you are dissatisfied with it." Sure wish I had read the reviews first.

      Get the best

Great start up and the balance is right there. The line is very easy to refill for the next go around the yard.

      Junk

Had this item for 2 years, looks like it's dead/won't start. I've put Sears brand 40:1 mix in it, replaced the spark plug, and cleaned the carbureatur. Still not working. Switching now to an electric. Don't waste your time with this junk

      Incredi-pull ??

I did not find this trimmer to be any easier to start than the one I was replacing. It also does not use traditional string. It does the job.

      poor design

Poor design all around. The trimmer takes over 10 pulls to start. It won't lay on it's side without propping it up to put gas in it. The trimmer line is of such poor quality it was nearly 75% gone after 10-15 minutes of trimming. And lastly when you get in taller grass the trimmer pulls down and to the side causing it to gouge the lawn. I don't believe the trimmer line is cutting the grass....it's more like ripping it. After 1 day my "trimmed" grass is brown in spots. I would only recommend this product to people I don't like.

      Trimmer

It turned out this is a great trimmer, we have always bought craftsman trimmers and mowers and this one does not disappoint. Right from the get go it starts up with no problem and has lots of power to get the job done. The string is easily replaced, no spools needed and I would definitely recommend this trimmer to everyone.

I would recommend this product to a friend.
