good power, good cranking, screws fall out right and left
Bought this last year with a couple of accessories. plenty of power. long running AND MOST IMPORTANT: a woman can crank it in a couple of seconds... easy. but it should have come with a bottle of locktite for all of the screws: the screw (yes the linchpin screw) that holds the 'gas pedal' and motor aligned on the shaft came out-- no idea where it went... then the screw that held the guide handle in place came out (found it and put back in), next the 'locking pin' that holds the accessories aligned in the accessory collar mid-shaft broke--I found it and used a tiny pair of clamps to hold it in place from the outside but it was extremely disconcerting to have the brush cutter head just FALL OFF!!, now the single screwthatt holds the MOTOR ON the end of the shaft (yes there are TWO screws there but the other one did not STOP the MOTOR FROM FALLING OFF THE END OF THE SHAFT while I was using it and wacking me in the behind!!) fell out. After 1st time, I LOOK at the darn thing!!! each time

Terrible machine
Should have taken it back after the first use but I thought the engine would smooth out after a few weekends of yard work. Extremely difficult to start. Even after it has had adequate time to warm up it must be run at full throttle, anything less will kill the engine, so there is no need for an adjustable throttle, or a kill switch. It is also heavy and unbalanced, which I was willing to overlook since it is a 4-stroke. To sum it up, if you want the convenience of not mixing your fuel for one piece of equipment and don't mind spending 5-8 minutes trying to get it to run so that it can be run at full throttle, eat through string in what is a very poor head design, and is uncomfortable to use, buy it.

no...non...no

I thought the nice slip in cord would be a big improvement over the old wind type trimmer line. Wrong. I've tried various sizes, line does a poor job and disappears quickly requiring 3-4 replacement cords for each minor yard job. Plus this cord insert does a very poor job of trimming grass. And make sure you put the cap back on EXACTLY right (which is hard to do), or it'll wind up in your neighbor's yard. And the handles are uncomfortable, I thought I'd get used to them, but nope. And now I can't get it started after a few uses. Oh, and no matter how much I try to tighten the guard, it moves all over the place. Avoid this product!

First 4-stroke trimmer head...

Early days yet, still have the break-in oil in it, but seems to be a good unit. Maybe a little cold blooded (needs half choke to stay running for roughly ten minutes after cold start) but it's also cold out now where I live. Have many attachments left over from the last two 2-stroke trimmer heads I've killed so was glad they fit this unit. Also purchased a hedge trimmer attachment and so far am very pleased with it as well. It's quiet and powerful, maybe a little heavier than the 2-strokers but hopefully will live longer (I'm rough on the equipment and 10% corn in our gas doesn't help).

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Weed eater review

It's a great machine. Works for long time and its easy to start. The only downfall is it is heavy to lug around for extended amounts of time.

Can't beat it

For the price I purchased this, I can't beat it. If you need to cut anything bigger than a plot of grass, get this. 4-Cycle with a powerful engine. No gas & oil mixing. The string seems to last a long time, because the engine is strong enough to cut thick or damp weeds.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Nice Weedwacker

I was in need of a new weekwacker and this one happened to be on sale and I took one home with me. This is my 1st 4-cycle weed trimmer to own. I un-boxed the unit and took out the owner's manual and assembly was pretty easy & so was adding the oil. It is going to be nice not having to mix gas and oil all of the time. After I got the unit assembled, I filled it with fuel and primed the carb and with a few pulls of the rope, I had it started. This unit is a lot quieter than my 2-cycle units. My new unit had plenty of torque and power and after I played with it a few mins in the shop we went for a test drive. I had some winter weeds that I tackled and boy was this unit awesome. It plowed through those weeds like a hot knife in butter. This had plenty of power and never even attempted to bog down. Very easy it is to change the string & I like the ability to use .110 heavy duty string. Quick start is a nice feature, too

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Powerful

Bought this a gift for my son, but have had the opportunity to use it several times. 4 cycle is the way to go since you do not have to mix oil with the gas on this model. Very powerful, but a little heavy for prolonged use. Starts easy. Hope it lasts more than 5 years.

I would recommend this product to a friend.
