The Craftsman Tool Roll-up Pouch held my puch and chisel set

I bought this tool roll to store my Craftsman 943121 6 pc. punch and chisel set in.  It held all six pieces including the long alignment tool, and it had two additional slots left over that held two Torx screwdrivers.  When I rolled it up the velcro strap did not align very well with the fuzzy part it attaches to.  A bow tie might work better.  The pouch keeps my small tools organized and I don't have to sift through the 16" tool box to find them.

Send the desinger back to school
This product was so awkward as to be functionally unusable. The two row design makes the pouch much longer than necessary. Mine had two straps, one high, one low and both had to be threaded through square eyelets and then folded back to stick. Why not just have a wrap-around strap that sticks to itself? Skip the eyelets! When rolled up this thing had a weak flexible mid-section which tended to assist the upper row of wrenches in falling out (you bend it in the middle and here they come). Here's an idea: Make it in one row with one strap and one diagonal flap about 2 inches wide across the top to prevent the wrenches from falling out. I returned mine a week after purchase.

Does the job

The velcro strap is too long and can not be shortened, so you can't roll it up tight enough that the wrenches wont fall out.

Its ok but not great

This would have been a great simple roll up if they had added a flap on top and a little more velco. I bought 2 of these and was hoping to be able to keep my most commonly used wrenches and a 10 inch adjustable wrench wraped up in these and it does but I have to be careful which way I hold the one with the adjustable in it because the lack of a top flap and there being no velcro on the strap too it can slip out. Had they designed in some velcro on the back of the strap in addition to on the pouch you could wrap this up alot tighter and maybe not even need or want a top flap to fold over. If you don't have all the pockets filled there is no way you are going to be able to strap it tight. I also was disappointed that they used two clothing tag holders poked through the pouch in order to hold the packaging lable on. The way it was done leaves 4 points which, if you use this often, area huge potential for a starting point of failure.

For me I have decided to purchase a higer quality roll up from another company and set these aside for less frequently used tools and older tools.

Lastly , Why the heck is something like this not made in the USA ? I'm sure there is someone who would take a job making this and frankly I would have paid more to have it be that way!

I would recommend this product to a friend.

The Craftsman Tool Roll- Up Pouch is cheaply made

The seams on the pouch started coming off the very 1st day. You could tell it was very cheaply made with absoutley no quality control. They used 2 different threads to make a stitch but never secured either threads so when there was pressure from the tools it just simply backed the thread out.

Tool rollup keeps wrenches organized

I keep an old military tool bag around to carry a small selection of tools for when I travel or when I need to work on something in the house.  I have a Craftsman Permanex box to hold two ratchets and two small sets of sockets but the set of open end wrenches was loose in the bag.  this required taking everything out of the bag to find one small wrench.  Not very handy.

This small tool rollup solved the problem.  I keep the five open end wrenches tied up in the rollup plus I have room for a couple other tools that are always bouncing around loose in my tool bag.  No I know just where to look for specific tools when I am trying to fix something.  When I think about the years I spent working on aircraft, I could have completed 95% of my assignments with just the contents of this tool bag.

Craftsman Wrench/Tool Roll-Up Pouches are great for punches

I use one of these in my mobile Craftsman field service sets of hand tools.  The work very well for holding the 6 piece punch, chisel, and alignment set.  Some small screwdrivers will fit in them also.  The material isn't the greatest ever made but these rolls can be a quick tool storage solution when you need one.  These rolls will only hold some of the smaller Craftsman wrenches.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

At last!

Finally, an affordable ballistic nylon tool roll to keep all my wrenches in one neat bundle.  The hard cases are all fine at the main tool box in the garage, but for the box in my pickup truck and for my box on my 18-wheeler, I need something compact and convenient.  The old leather pouches ended up grease-soaked and hard, and would crack when you opened them.  The nylon fits the bill nicely, with a neat velcro closure.  Now I can grab them and go to work.  The only thing I would like to see changed is to make them color-coded so I know what I am grabbing without opening the case.

Good quality, good price, and available at every Sears store.  What more could one ask?

Nice pouch for a small group of loose wrenches

This is a nice basic roll-up for up to 8 wrenches. I use it to store some metric wrenches (between 7 and 13 mm) and find that it works great for wrenches of that size - the smallest pocket does not quite "swallow" the top of the 7mm (I think it would swallow a 6mm), and the 13mm fits nicely in the middle or the larger end. The material seems sturdy enough, the slots are the right sizes for wrenches in that range, and the roll-up fastens easily and securely with a velcro tab that wraps all the way around it. With only 8 wrenches in it, it isn't particularly heavy or bulky when rolled-up, either. And the black and red color scheme is attractive and makes it easy to see the pocket openings.

One disadvantage of this pouch is that it cannot hold realy large wrenches - I found that 3/4" is the largest SAE size of Craftsman combination wrench that will fit comfortably without sticking out the top of the pouch. And of course there are only 8 slots, so it isn't made for a really complete set anyway. But for a small group of small to medium-sized wrenches, it really is quite good.
