I bought a pair of these boots for working (part time) outside under normal conditions. The boots lasted about 2 months before the soles starting falling off. I used duct tape to make them last another month and then threw them away. I would NOT recommend these boots.
The break in period for me was one shift (14 hours). I drive a truck but deliver food to chain restaurants. My job requires that I unload approximately 25,000 to 45,000 lbs of foods using a hand truck down a metal ramp all night. These boots made my feet feel like hamburger the first night but after that, they were very comfortable and have tons of grip going down the ramp. Good support for the ankle too.

Wore these for almost 2 years in a foundry and still love them. They great walking boots at a good price. Compared to Timberline at twice or more the price. Buying another pair in a couple weeks.
I needed something to support my ankles and the arches of my feet while working all day. I am on my feet all day so they also needed to be comfortable. I am finding that they are.
This shoe has great leather upper and has a strong sole. But the shoe hurts a bit a around the ankle with the top laces. The shoe could also use some cushioning ( I had to buy an insole). The sole is nice quality but might slip on ice. Overall a good shoe for a good price.

Up ladders, across concrete floors, under scaffolding and all around, when you move, you need a solid grip like that of the men's DieHard soft toe work boot. Made with a balanced tread and flexible rubber sole, these boots adapt to multiple surfaces, so whether youre hauling bags of concrete through gravel, or stacks of shingles up ladders, these boots will react to any surface, making every step sure and safe. And when youre working long hours, these boots deliver comfort like few others can. Not only built with a soft toe for superior comfort and lighter weight, but featuring a cemented welt and tight-lacing upper, theyll stay just as snug as you like. But the big advantage to these boots lies inside. Included with each boot comes one of the most technologically advanced insoles around: the XRD Poron Insole. Great for all kinds of action, these insoles are soft and supple when at rest; but when impact hits them, they firm-up, removing sting and joint shock instantly. A solid addition when you are hitting the jobsite, hiking trail or even the urban landscape, these boots are rugged, well-built and help make every step you take a little softer.
