My First Craftsman workbench has it all

I got this Myfirst Craftsman workbench for my son Christmas 2009 and he still plays with it.  It was a gift he loves very much.  Be carefull ording it around Christmas time cause it is in and out of stock thankfully we got ours.  It is sturdy and goes together very well.  Was easy to put together.  The lights and sounds are a great part of this item too.  My son love it and always plays with it.  He was 4 when he got it.

wouldn't reccommend
I too was disappointed in the stability of this product. It seems very wobbly. Also, my son wants to actually do something with the tools. When he plays with it, he just screws bolts in and out of the top of the table (he's only 3). My husband actually taped some of the nuts to the underside of the table so that my son can use more than the three holes that work for the bolts.

So far so good

We bought this for my almost 3 year for Christmas. He loves it! He has played with it for hours at a time and he hardly plays with anything for very long. I do with there was more to do with the bench like some of the more expensive tool benches. I'm also afraid that he will break it at some point because it is all just plastic and he is very rough with things but so far he hasn't but it has only been a few days.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

My son loves this!

The workbench was fairly easy to open and was even easier to put together. You don't need any tools to assemble it. It only took me about 20 minutes to pu it all together.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Great product!!

This was a great product that I purchased last year for christmas and is something that my son still plays with on a daily basis. He was 2 years old when I gave it to him and now that he is a little over 3 years old he still enjoys it. Definitely worth the value for the long-time play use that he gets out of it!!

I would recommend this product to a friend.

cheaply made but expensive to buy

this toy is something that our 4yr old wanted. at the time my husband was remodling the house and everytime we would go to the store for supplies our son would ask for his own tools. so we bought this for his birthday... this didnt last a week with him.  the peices broke easily. i wouldnt recomend this for a child that is really active and energenic.

I do have to say when we first set it up it looked like it was going to last through the terror of a 4 yr old.

Not durable enough for tougher kids

My son rec'vd this as a birthday present. It is very cheaply made and probably won't last long. The phone that came with it was a hit, though! For what was paid, he could play with it a couple of times and I wouldn't be upset if it broke. I think it just depends on how rough your kids are. If they play nice, this will be more than okay. if your kids are rough and tumble, get something sturdier!

Overall
great pretend work bench!!

This workbench is is great for your boys (or girls) who love pretending to be handymen(women).  My son liked following behing me with his tools (that looked like mine) and "helping" me fix things.  I'm very disapponted in at least 2 of the negative reviews here on this board.  One woman claims her 2-year old broke the bench while climbing on top of it, the other claims her 3-year old broke it.  If I'm not mistaking, the age level for this is 4 years and up..??  Of course the bench is going to break if the woman's 2 year old climbs on top of it - hello???    Any toy will break if not treated properly - this tool bench is no exception.  If it is treated properly, it will create hours of enjoyment for your boy or girl.  The nuts and bolts go together smoothly and securely and the tools all fit just right.  I hifghly recommend this product...

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Hope the 2nd and 3rd Craftsman toys are not as bad as the first!

My nephew and I were both looking forward to playing with this set. Unfortunately, it is made of cheap plastic and began to fall apart immediately. Not something that should have the Craftsman name associated with it! Can't really do anything with it like loosen or tighten bolts etc so what is the kid supposed to do? The kids tool sets with the ********** brand work better.

My First Craftsman 66 piece Workbench is the best learning toy.

I bought my sons, who are 14 months apart, the Craftsman 66-piece Workbench so they could work around the house too. This workbench is made of sturdy plastic with a realistic bench and realistic tools that have sparked my kids imaginations. My kids have been busy fixing items around the house for hours at a time and with 66-pieces, there is no end to their fixing ot to their creating.

Additionally, this is also a safe toy. None of the pieces are too small which eliminates choking possibilities. In addition, there are no sharp edges on the workbench or on any of the tools, in which a child could get cut or hurt on.

I would recommend this toy, to any of my friends, who have a child of four years old or older, whether boy or girl,as I feel both boys and girls can enjoy this toy.
