Leading Consumer Magazine Names Four Craftsman Tractors to 2009 Top Ten List, Mower Declared Best Buy
HOFFMAN ESTATES, IL
Four Craftsman tractors made the 2009 Top Ten list of a leading consumer rating magazine. They include: the Craftsman Zero-Turn Tractor - Revolution, the Craftsman YT 4000 46 in. Yard Tractor and the Craftsman YT 3000 42 in. Yard Tractor.
The Craftsman YT 3000 46 in. Yard Tractor and the Craftsman Rear Propelled Rear Bag Lawn Mower were named Best Buys in their respective classes for their superior combination of price and performance, according to expert testers.
Cutting a 46-inch wide swath with each pass, the Craftsman YT 3000 46 in. Yard Tractor features a host of mechanical advances. Its 21 hp Briggs and Stratton Platinum engine includes an oil filter and overhead valves for cooler running and longer life. Premium hydrostatic/automatic transmission lets the user match the tractor speed to the task at hand. And four gauge wheels provide better airflow for more effective cutting and bagging.
The Craftsman Rear-Bag Rear-Propelled Lawn Mower is an affordable fully loaded machine. Its 700 Platinum Series Briggs and Stratton engine is a Craftsman exclusive and offers the power to handle any sized yard. The bag is even innovative; it the industry largest for push-behind mowers and includes a transparent Full Bag Indicator. Users have the option of mulching and side discharging as well, making it a true 3-in-1 mower. The EZ Deck Wash System makes it easy to remove debris and grass from under the deck.
The Craftsman Zero-Turn Tractor Revolution takes zero-turn tractors to the next level. A steering wheel gives the user full control of the steerable pivoting front axle that turns the wheels 90 degrees to either side and pivot up and down. Synchronized technology makes the front and wheels work together for 360-degree turns.
A 22 hp Kohler Courage engine powers the Craftsman YT 3000 42 in. Yard Tractor. A spring-loaded deck lift system makes setting cutting height simple. The Craftsman YT 4000 46 in. Yard Tractor can handle almost any terrain thanks to its Craftsman exclusive 24 hp Briggs and Stratton Platinum V-Twin engine and 46 in. precision cut mowing system.
Nearly 80 models of mowers and tractors underwent a battery of tests to determine the best values. Craftsman tractors and mowers are available at Sears.com and Sears stores throughout the country.
