Craftsman  9-piece Metric Universal Socket Accessory Set

Two very common metric sizes, 12 mm and 15 mm, are not included in this set. It seems like the marketing people at Sears don't use tools. They should put people in charge who actually use the products and who actually care about the usefulness of the products. Anybody who buys a set of sockets intends to have the most common sizes included and they would rather pay for it. Who had the bright idea to delete sizes in the set? If Sears wants to keep loyal Craftsman customers, they will have to do better.

I have been looking at these sockets from harbor frieght and at craftsmen for a while now and have always been a little unsure of how well they would hold up, but last week i decided to go ahead and buy craftsmans set and i must say.........wow they work great, i decided to torture test the 14 considering at the moment i didnt think id need it. i beat on it, put a 4 ft breaker bar on it, put it in a press, put a torch to it befor it was out of comission, but it wasnt any of that that took it out of comissioin it was a rusted bolt that i got red hot put the socket on and beat it down with a 5 pound hammer. it just basically forged the two together lol 

I was causious with buying non american craftsman product because of quality but I have came to the conclusion it is still a great product, so give it a chance. ive heard some people complain about the finsih getting mared.......guys its a tool, tools get beat on if you use them. you dont buy tools to look pretty you buy them to use them and if you do buy them to look pretty toss the cash my way cause ill use the tools. lol

the only reason for a 4 wrench rating is the set skiped the 15 and the 12, and of course its two of the ones im always reaching for.

I just bought this set and tested it, great stuff and less tools needed for multiple application.

The design of these sockets protects my machinery by keeping the nut and bolt heads in better condition - I would like to have a 12mm and 15mm in this set however

Great socket set . I don't have have to look for the correct socket or other style wrench for a large selection of different style fasteners.Even if I have a slightly rouned hex fastener I can still use the universal socket without having to go back to my toolbox for another type wrench.

I went to Sears the other day to purchase some replacement sockets and had seen online that there were these 9 piece Metric sets.  When I got to the store I found that they didn't have any in stock.  I ended up having to purchase a set which came with "another" socket wrench.  Like I don't have enough of them already.  Next time I might have to check out Kmart to see if they have them in stock.

It's a shame Sears as fallen so low in product support and interest and fallen so deep into shareholder/stakeholder/stockholder pockets. We CUSTOMERS need to know what the items we purchase include, how can you forget something so basic!? It's a shame I sm doing the SAME job they are paying someone to do....my interest is with the fellow DIY'er though, not lining my pockets.

These DO have a nice, nostalgic, vintage look and nice black vinish. Got these in the set w/ ratchet and sockets.

I wish I would have read the product description a little better before I bought these -- they just looked so great....  The missing 12mm and 15mm are a problem because they are two very common sizes.  I do have these sizes in my older regular socket set, but obviously, they don't match this new set.  Also, some caulk inadvertently got on them and irreversibly discolored the silver.  My 30 yr old socket set is now in better shape than these, and has all the sizes.

I do however like the design - easy to read sizes, universal fit, and a machined easy grip area.

Does anybody know the sizes of the sockets in this set?

am very disappointed that it doesn't come with the 12mm socket! I can't find it sold individual either
