If you are planning to buy this, make sure you assemble it when you assemble your workbench. If you already have an assembled workbench, you'll need to disassemble it to install this backwall. It also requires drilling new holes into your workbench top. The construction quality is poor, its cheap sheet metal, painted (not powder coated). The assembly instructions could be better, although assemble is easy (specially if you have someone helping you), it just takes longer than expected. The florescent light plugs into the power strip and takes up one power outlet. The power strip switch controls the light and the light itself doesn't have a separate switch. What were craftsman designers smoking when they designed this???
Bought this for my husband as a Father's Day gift from our kids. He really likes it. The metal was a little bent when we unboxed it, but after he bent it back into shape, it assembled to the workbench easily and quickly. Bought the matching workbench and a butcher block work top for it, which are also nice.
I bought this to add to my workbench and am so glad that I did. I got it on sale so feel like this is a pretty good bargain. It was not quick to assemble but just take your time and everything fits together fine. I was happy with the overall outcome and will get many years of use out of this item, and yes it is made in America

The backwall put together without any major issues but follow others suggestion to wait to tighten all the bolts up until the very end. It compliments the bench extremely well and you should have no issues if there were none when putting the bench together. Nice set!

I bought this to compliment the 6' workbench and it fits perfectly. I made sure to follow other's tips as well when installing, waiting to tighten everything up until the very end. Instructions are helpful, but you have to think through some of the steps before starting. If you're able to put the bench together with no issues then the backwall should be no problem!
The workbench and under-cabinet were, in themselves, extremely frustrating to assemble (and I have successfully assembled furniture, storage and cabinets from many manufacturers) but this back wall is worse. The instructions are poorly-written, the pieces are flimsy. The pegboard bows out, which is a real hassle if you get the stainless work surface, ad drilling into the stainless and screwing the back into it is very time-consuming. Worst of all, the light fixture has no on/off switch. You have to plug the light fixture into the outlet strip, so you lose one outlet and you have an ugly white cord hanging down the front of the unit.
Nice for the price. I like the light and pegboard, however I need to make a trip to a home supply as Sears does not carry peg board hooks. I read the reviews on this before deciding to buy it. To that, my garage is on a switched circuit, so no switch on the light is no biggie for me. I also noted some complaints about the flimsy-ness around the outlet which I resolved by running an additional screw along the back into the wood top. Trap to avoid- built the legs of the back wall onto the bench as you assemble the bench or you'll be taking a lot of things apart. Also, the legs are slotted for vertical adjustment, raise them all the way up to make room for your top or you'll be doing that step over too. Hint hint... Sears provided instructions for each piece separately but does not provide a plan if you are building all the pieces together into a bench. Spend some time figuring this out before you dive in.
I bought two of these and am very pleased with the fit-up and the look. I'm not a huge fan of peg-board because I prefer all my tools and whatnot be put away, but this unit with the integral power strip and 4' florescent light really complete the whole workbench. Assembly was a breeze and the units are sturdy. All the parts fit exactly and look great.
