I needed this air coupler to replace a damaged one so that I could continue work on a project. It turned out to be a disaster. I have tried to keep an open mind about the "Made in China" issue, but this didn't help. When I removed this coupler from its packaging, it would not work. The outer sleeve is supposed to slide down the body so that the male air fitting can be inserted. It wouldn't slide, not at all. I asked my son who is stronger than I if he could do it. He couldn't either. When I returned it, the store clerk couldn't make it work either. There is either a design flaw or a serious manufacturing defect with this item! And that was the end of my project for that day. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS ITEM!

I purchased the Craftsman 1/4 inch quick connect coupler when I purchased 50 ft PVC Craftsman air hose and I really like how fast & and easy it is to couple up your air tools and blow gun. I seals great and have not noticed any air leaks. I used it with my Craftsman impact & air ratchets, whiel working on my daughter's truck and it worked great. Changing my air tools out was a snap and can be done single handed. I would recommend that you give thses a try...

quite convenient but coupler sleeve does not slide far enough back for easy or quick release. althuogh it takes long and short air nipple ends, a quick release may be achieved by grinding hexed erea below coupler sleeve, allowing further sleeve distance to make it a true ( quick release.) havent tried yet. maybe manufacture can adjust this in tooling.
