My wife bought the miter saw stand for me on a black Friday sale a year and a half ago. I'm a general contractor so I use my saw stand quite often, which for this product is not a good thing. The cheap plastic handles have both been broke for quite some time now. The first one broke the third time I used it, it actually broke off in my hand when I was trying to set up my saw. The clamp part still worked with the little jagged nub that was left so I didn't bother returning it, that was a mistake. I used it with one broken handle for a while. However the other handle broke off completely to where the clamp wont even work. So I have the broken nub on one side (I tap this into clamping position with a scrap 2x4 or any other object since its a jagged piece of plastic that I have no desire to rip my hand open on) and nothing on the other. If they made the handles out of a stronger material they would have an outstanding stand to sell. I love everything else about the stand, it's great! The plastic handles have to be replaced though!!!
This is just what I needed. I had purchased the miter saw stand that came with one of these in the kit that I attached to my miter saw. I wanted to be able to keep it permanently attached to the saw but also use the stand for my bench top drill press as well when needed. Works perfectly. Now I have two tools that I can switch out without going through the small hassle of removing the clamping base. It is well built and sturdy.

Althought you have to be really careful with the plastic handles; the adaptability of this base to different bench-top power tools is worth the 5 stars. It is absolutely amazing. I have one on my 10" single bevel compound miter saw and one on my router bench. It works like a champ. I can release the miter saw from the stand and mount the router in no time. I recommend it!
Great product concept: simple and attractive (although not necessarily better than competitors, somewhat cheaper). However, it is the cliched "cheap plastic" cost-cutting that makes this mostly worthless - the handle/latching arm is a single molded plastic piece, the far end of which is an eyelet through which a bolt is run. The plastic eyelet is too thin and will likely crack through upon first use... or perhaps will already be split in the box! I purchased the deluxe miter stand (which comes with one), which was apparently/luckily (or unluckily, as it turns out) a good copy that has functioned as intended. I got one additional clamp, which split upon first use. I exchanged it, got home and saw it was cracked prior to even installing it. Ordered another online (to return the original while picking it up), shook the box (which was closed with yellow tape, indicating that it had been returned previously) to hear a loose piece rattling right in front of the stock guy who had handed it to me, then opened it to find the eyelet completely snapped in half on one handle, and cracked on the other. This means that the stock guys didn't even inspect the return and put it back on the floor as new/fully functional. I took my two broken clamps to the tool desk, showed the clerk the problem, and proceeded to open the two other boxes on the shelf. The first had the same cracked eyelet problem, the other appeared to be good. I returned the two, took the good copy, and begged the lady not to put the broken copies back on the shelf, but I'm pretty sure where that's where they will end up because nobody cares. I only took another one home because I already own and use the stand, otherwise it'd be game over.
This thing is useful. And it fits the Ryobi stand too! I too have limited floor space so, an interchangeable system makes sense! Put one on the bottom of every bench tool and swap to stand as necessary.

I just bought three of these, with the one that came with the miter saw stand it makes a total of 4 that I have. My garage/shop has limited floor space for work benches or stationary tool stands. After seeing that the you could buy additional tool mounts for the saw stand it hit me like a load of bricks... I have a neat little system to use my miter saw stand for all of my bench top power tools. Depending on the what you're mounting to the clamping accessory, you can fit 2 or 3 of these side by side on the miter saw stand to have a multi tool station, or you can fashion a work bench top from 3/4" plywood, mount it to one of these accessories and turn the miter saw stand into a portable work bench. What you can use a miter saw stand for that uses these tool mounting fixtures is only limited by your imagination and weight capacity of the stand.
I tried to find the clamping arm with no success so I ordered the assembly. Call on phone and they were able to order me the individual clamping arm. I picked this assembly up and returned it immediately.
i received my first set with the stand as a gift . as soon as i used it i ordered 2 more sets. now i can change from miter saw, band saw, and scroll saw easily and fast.
Originally used for my Craftsman 10" miter saw, I discovered other uses for it. I mounted 3/4" plywood and predrilled a few holes and this tool stand clamp can use anchor my 10" drill press, and 16" scroll saw. Attatches quickly and anchors securely and makes my stand more versital in the limited space inmy shop. I would recommend this tool for all of my buddies
