Does a good job

The Craftsman wet/dry vac does a good job.  I use it mainly for clean up of the shop.  It sucks up saw dust, dirt and small screws very nicely.  It won't out power a corded vac, but it is not suppose to.  If you do purchase this, I would recommend using either the high capacity lithium or the new XCP lithium battery.  The Ni-cad will not last long with this power hungry vac.  I have all three types of batteries, and the XCP lasted the longest with 26 minutes of continuous run.  The high capacity lithium battery lasted 16 minutes of continuous run, and finally the Ni-cad lasted about 10 minutes with depreciable loss in power.

This is a good vac with the right battery.

Crappy Power & Too Many Parts

I bought this because I wanted a portable vacuum to use with my C3 system. The power is just not there, either vac or blower. But, the most frustrating thing is the accessory skirt must be removed to detach the blower. What a terrible design. Sears needs to go back to the drawing board on this one. A well-designed blower/vac would be an excellent addition to the C3 system. I opted for the C3 hand vac and it is much more suited for my needs.

lacks power

The machine works fine but the power of a corded vacuum just is not there. I returned the product.

Have lots of batteries

Have had my eye on this for awhile and finally took the plunge when I gathered up enough points to make it worth my effort -- and not come out of my own pocket. Good size; lightweight. Best for quick messes (my dog gets food all over and likes to puke). Had hoped to use it also as a tool to keep my car clean but once I realized a fully-charged XCP battery only gives you about 15-20 minutes of power, I noticed the follow of my ways. Obviously, this isn't intended to be a full-time vacuum and I already have a shop vac, a dyson and a back up mini vac for regular and shop cleaning but still pretty disappointed by the power on this machine. It'll do the job and luckily, I have enough batteries floating around to make it work.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Handy for quick pick-ups

Vac works well for small quick jobs in the house or in the car. Very handy. Not as powerful as a corded vac, but is still useful. Drains the battery quickly, so it's not for big jobs.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Filter is too porous for fine dust

The first job I used this for drywall dust that had fallen on the floor after cutting out a hole for a light switch box. You could instantly see a haze of very fine dust in the air - fine dust that had blown right through the very porous fabric/felt filter "sleeve" (like a sock that gets pulled over a plastic "cage". I would rate this 5 stars (especially for the price) if they offered a hepa filter option, even if it was extra. But after an extensive search, I can't find any filter options for this, other than the standard sleeve that would be good for stopping things like sand, leaves, most saw dust, etc...but not for any type of common fine dust or dirt - it just blows it back into the air to settle on everything in reach. Compared to my milwaukee 18v portable vacuum with a really good paper filter, the filter on this is practically non-existent. If anyone knows of a good filter for this let me know! Thanks

Not bad

So far no complaints. This is a powerful vac. I have not used it as a wet vac yet, but I would assume it does just as well. Comes with some dry and wet vac supplies. I would recommend using the higher rated battery with this product.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

No Suction

Bought this item after looking at the 4 stars, Was very disappointed in the suction and battery life. It could not suck most of the stuff on the car floor mat, and with a fully charged battery, it lost power after less than 5 mins of use. Returning this after using it for less than 5 mins.

Love the portability

Light weight, easy to use vac. I have a large craftsman shop vac and it work great, but this is so easy for quick clean ups. I use it mainly on the cars.

I would recommend this product to a friend.
