Powerfull, Quiet running saw. Granite top is really nice. Fence works great. Didn't like how the fence goes past the table top to the right. 1/4'' plywood goes under fence while cutting. Ordered another right hand replacement granite top 55 lbs more. Made framework with 1/2 by 1/2 aluminum square stock. bolted to the frame. Set screws in sqare stock for leveling it. Drilled 2 holes for table extension to bolt it in place. The table is now 50'' wide. Made a base with wheels. Now 1/4'' plywood cuts nice. Plus got the floor model for $900.00. A lot of saw for the money...

I am loosing faith in craftsman products. Bought this saw AUG 2011 and it failed MAR 2013. I should have kept my old Cast Iron Craftsman Table saw I bought when I was twelve 26 years ago. It is still going strong at a buddies of mine's house. I bought this saw as an upgrade but now have sever regrets. With occasional use the worm gear and pintle failed on the blade elevation. The pintle teeth have a nice half moon worn into them and the worm drive is worn on one side. Very poor design to fail this quickly. I try and raise the blade and it just falls. Repair parts are costing me $75. Even my wife is giving me flak saying I told you to buy the "Saw Stop" but I told her that my last saw was a craftsman and this one will last just as long. What happened to craftsman quality? I had a leaf blower from 1984-2011. Bought a new craftsman and went through 2 in 1 week and finally just bought a husqvarna and no issues. Looks like the early 80s was when you could buy quality at sears.

Very heavy saw - took a bit of time to assemble. Mine was missing some screws - I had to pick up at the local hardware saw.

I decided with two teenage boys home from college over the holidays, I would pick this beast up myself and save the delivery charge. I?m a cheap *******. It took 3 guys at the local Sears hardware to wheel it out on a heavy duty hand held fork lift and tilt it up into the bed of my Dakota pickup. Once home, I backed the P/U into the shop and one son climbed in back and pushed while the other son and I lifted the front edge and pulled it out. We gently lowered it to the ground while sliding it off the tailgate. It was not too difficult for the three of us. If you only got one helper, I would advise against this method and spring for the delivery. Assembly was pretty simple, but very time consuming. Took about 3-4 hours. I took my time and did each step perfect. Have not yet built anything?Just made a few sample cuts with scrap. It runs smooth and quiet. It looks to be an awesome saw.

I bought this saw as a Christmas present to me! I had my two teenage boys home from college so I decided against the delivery charge. With two in college, a guys gotta save a dime when he can. I picked up from our local sears hardware store. It took 3 kids to load in the back of my Dakota pick-up. They basically wheeled it out on a large manual fork lift, then leaned it onto its back and slid it in. When I got home, one son climbed in the back and pushed while my other son and I lifted the front edge and pulled. We were able to gently guide it off the back of the tailgate and onto a spot in the garage where it sat for a couple weeks.

I already own a Craftsman 10" table saw that is about 10 years old. It works perfectly and a new blade every now and then and I am good to go. I have found the table gets a little sticky. This new saw it is like the material is floating on air. Great power, easy material handling, fantastic accuracy and pure pleasure in operation. My wife asked me why do you think you need a new saw. My answer, because I want one. Compared to the others I shopped, I got the Rolls Royce instead of settling for just the Caddy for about the same money. Merry Christmas to me and I will have a much Happier New Year.

I have had this saw for a few years now, got the first one sold in the Mesa, AZ store they did not even have there floor model set up when I got mine. Is very heavy and stays where you put it not something you want to move around, but you could not ask for a better saw.

This is a great table saw. Everything works as advertised - great accuracy, plenty of power, easy to use. HOWEVER, be aware that, although you can buy a dado set for it, you cannot find a dado head insert. Sears doesn't sell them. You'll have to build a rube goldberg insert out of wood or something similar before you can use the dado set safely. I find this very frustrating, and I'm very disappointed with the Sears parts policy.
