This technology actively/dynamically reduces vibration with a pair of uniquely designed counter balance pads that always move in opposite directions to each other. This Active Vibration Canceling Technology makes this sander more comfortable and easy to use, taking the vibration out of the sander, and putting this energy to work sanding and removing material. Plus, The Craftsman Professional vibrafree™ #25927 random orbit sander with Cyclonic dust collection removes 40% more material in the same time frame as the Craftsman Professional #27673 5-inch random orbit sander with Cyclonic dust Collection. This sander has Cyclonic Dust Collection (CDS) featuring advanced air flow design with centrifugal force dust extraction that separates the dust particles from the air flow as they enter the dust box. Clean air then flows out of the box, leaving dust particles trapped inside. This dust collection system provides better dust collection when measured against other leading brand professional 5-inch random orbital sanders. The 2.7 Amp motor drives 12,000 OPM for fast material removal. The Over-mold top handle provides user comfort, and the sealed rocker switch prevents dust from clogging the switch.
