hammer drill slow and fast

This thing is bad to the bone. It works great as a hammer drill and has a transmission in it for low speed high torque. Ive drilled 1/4 plate steel to a diameter of 5/8" with no problems with this drill. Yet it also works well for priming oil systems in engines before start up.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

piece of junk

The chuck won't hold the drill bit. It's a piece of junk. So says my husband who's a maintenance mechanic.

Motor failed within 5 minutes

I received this as a gift 3 months ago. Finally, I was able to use it recently to attempt boring 3/4" holes into 6x6 PT lumber with a brand-new auger bit. I ensured the drill was set for low-range prior to drilling. On the 2nd hole the motor slowed considerably and then just stopped. Smoke blew out from the rear vent holes and a popping sound originated from the same area. That part of the casing became extremely hot as I quickly disconnected the drill from the embedded auger, unplugged it, and placed it on a concrete sidewalk. Smoke continued to originate from the housing and the outside general area was filled with the odor of burnt plastic for about an hour. I retrieved my 20 year-old USA-Made Craftsman 4.5 amp electric drill and attached it to the embedded auger. Sure enough, this drill was able to power the auger through this 6x6 and several others afterwards with minimal resistance. Why did a 7.5 amp drill fail where a 4.5 amp drill was successful? Is it that the 7.5 amp drill is made in China of substandard materials? I have to say I am disappointed in the quality of this drill. I brought the drill back to the store and explained what happened. The customer service was excellent. Since it was past the 90 day return period they offered to replace the drill with a new one. They were quick about it and apologetic that the drill failed so quickly. This is why I gave 2 stars instead of 1. I have yet to use the replacement for any heavy-duty jobs yet, so I don't know if it will have the same issue.

Good so far for light and medium duty work.

I've been doing a lot of work in my basement where I have concrete walls. So far I've put up shelving, a whole other Gladiator Garageworks system, and mounted a tv on the wall. It's comfortable and really easy to use. I'll update this as I continue to use it...so far so good though. I like the little level on it to ensure you're going in straight.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Very good drill and almost vibration free.

I have been drilling concrete floor for anchors and not once i had problems with it, even when i used it nonstop for extended periods of time. I had to stop when it got hot but I'm sure if I had kept going the drill would kept up with no problem. I like it a lot.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Overall
Very powerful and sturdy drill

I bought this drill because I wanted something with a KEYED chuck. I can't stand putting a drill bit in a keyless chuck when I'm drilling deep holes. The bits will slip and its just a headache. That being said with this drill and keyed chuck I have yet to have a problem at all.

The included drill handle is an amazing accessory. I was neglecting it at first but the weight of the drill really necessitates the use of the handle. I can't complain about the weight of the drill though. It definitely has enough power to warrant the extra weight

Craftsman Professional 26567 7.5 amp Corded hammer Drill

I haven't used this drill for anything too heavy-duty yet, but so far it performs very well. The adjustable auxiliary handle is very nice, and having a keyless chuck and level guage are great improvements over the last drill I owned, which was quite a bit older.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

26567 craftsman professional hammer drill...awesome

i bought this drill to mix thinset and grout for a home tile project. my 18v dewalt drill was struggling so i bought this corded drill. this drill had no problems and had more than enough power. the variable speed was a little touch because of all the power but low gear was perfect for mixing. seems like a great drill all around and the depth guage is a nice feature.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Just about perfect.

Great all around drill with the added benefit of hammer drilling when needed.

Only things that would make it better would be storage in the case for the handle when detached from the drill (90% of my usage), and a self-locking chuck.

I would recommend this product to a friend.
