Nice Saw
The Craftsman 2 in 1 Handle 6.0 Amp/VS Orbital Scrolling Sabre Saw was purchased to assist me in some wood working projects. Yet, the very first job that it was used on was for cutting corrugated sheet metal for a work out room remodel. It cut right through the sheet metal like nothing and had a fairly clean cut line. Plenty of power and the weight helps keep the saw in contact with your work. The D-grip handle allows you to keep the saw in control. This handle can be removed and now you have a barrel control handle when you need more precise control while cutting. I like the little built in blower to help keep you cut line clean or you have the option of using the dust port in the back with your shop vac connected. The LED at the blade helps light up you immediate cut line. The is a Green LED on the rear to indicate that the unit is plugged up and has power. The saw's tool-less blade changing system is awesome and very easy to switch out blades. The safety button on the D-grip trigger can be easily operated by left or right handed operators. There are 5-settings for the blade to accommodate a wide range of cutting needs (Scrolling, Smooth(all materials), Low (metal), Medium (plastics/hardwood), Fast (plywood/softwood). The saw has a verible speed control in the rear of the saw. When using the scrolling feature you will need a scrolling blade and you can turn the blade 360n degrees while cutting patterns and diagrams. This lets you keep a close eye on your cut line and pattern. You can remove the d-grip pretty easy and use the barrel grip to help with more precise control. The switch for the barrel grip is a little tougher to operate than the switch is for the D-grip. The shoe or base of the saw a large and made from cast aluminum with a resin sub base to prevent scratching of your work piece. The base is solid, but not sure how tough the resign sub base is gonna be over time. Guess I will have to test that aspect of it out. Overall, I like the saw pretty good and have many plans for it in my shop. My only two negs on the saw was the switch for the barrel grip and the resign sub base, but other than that the saw has power and performs very well. Only tip that I? might through out, is take your time and don't rush your cuts and I would recommend this saw to my buddies....

faulty quick change lever for blade
This saw has been used a handful of times for two projects. Minimal cuts were made for laminate flooring and a trex decking project. The lever for exchanging the blades failed to function after the fourth blade change.

Awesome Saw

This has to be the one of the Power Tool's I've purchased really like the 2 in 1 handle feature. The versatility of this saw is another great feature. I looked at alot of different Sabre Saw's before I purchased this one and the number one thing I wanted was the ability to Scroll and this saw is 1 of 3 I found would do that and the final decision was the price which for the money is well worth purchasing this saw.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

jig saw

Biggest pile of **** I have ever bought from sears. Might be ok if you cut wood and don't mine if you can't cut a straight line, but on thin aluminum with a bosch aluminum blade no one in my shop could cut a straight line. Does NOT hold the blade securely, it walks all over the place. If you want a real jig saw buy a high end Bosch.

Good saw

The jig saw works well enough, the light and laser are decent included features. However, I am having a tough time getting the blade to release. Invest in a good set of blades and the saw works well.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Good addition to the shop

Had to invest in some decent blades for this thing but it does get the job done. Have used on some 3/4 stock and some detail work with no real issues. 4/5 for the slightly awkward handle and use.

I would recommend this product to a friend.
