There are plenty of wrenches and plenty of sockets to do any job. I wish this set would have included the Craftsmen nut drivers set with case instead of the single driver with multiple tips. Also the Allen wrenches are a waste, but they'll get you off the ground. There is plenty of overlap in 12 pt and 6 pt sockets. I wish they would've included hex sockets and more extension bars instead of doubling up on sockets (again, a good starter set). I bought this set during Craftsmen club days for around $349 if I'm remembering correctly so don't pay anything more. Sears.com is always cheaper than in store if you don't mind the wait for store pickup or shipping.

Needs 18 socket bars too hold all the sockets in place. But over all the best starter set they offer.

If you are starting your base of Tools, this is the PERFECT set to start with. I purchased it in the Tool Clearance area for $210.00 because it was a open package from a return. Could have never gotten a better deal on tools. Yes your still going to need more stuff to compliment this set, but for 348 tools at $210.00 this set was a steal. I purchased this set to start my Son's tool collection and he loves it.

This was an excellent set for the sale price but I wouldn't pay full price. I was mainly after the sockets so the other tools were a bonus. You have to purchase socket strips or socket organizers seperately which adds quite a bit to the purchase price but it's a very complete set. Some of the wrenches completed my overall set and some were duplicates that were good for home use. Now I have a pretty complete set for home and work use. I'm pretty happy with the price and quality and would recommend this set to anyone but make sure you plan to buy organizers when you purchase this set.

This is a very good set of mechanics tools. I also bought the less expensive ballbearing tool box set at the same time I bought this set. I certainly can do much more now that I have this complete set. I would like to see them sell the specific sockets (larger and smaller sockets) to add to the set.

Crafstman tools have always been the perfect balance between price and quality. I grew up using them, and now, needing to build a set of my own, decided to start with the 348 set. This set has most everything I'll need to get my home projects done. I look forward to working on everything from complex automotive projects to everyday home problems to simple fixes to the kids toys. I also look forward to adding peripheral tools to this set.

I have this set and its 348 pieces includes everything you need to get started and best of all they are Craftsman with a lifetime warranty. I wish craftsman woud change the screw drivers to the professional ones but other than that perfect. They often put this on sale so get it when they do and you wont be sorry.

This kit has an amazing amount of tools in it for the money. But, like another one of the reviews, I think they could have selected the sockets a little more carefully. I bought this set to rebuild my Toyota Supra, and after organizing all the tools, I realized this set has absolutely no 6 pt metric deep sockets in 3/8 or 1/2" drives, as well as some holes in my organizer. The kit does come with 12 pt metric deep sockets, but I much rather prefer 6 pt. Any mechanic would agree. All in all, for the money, you can't beat the amount of tools you get with this kit, but it is far from being complete. At least one breaker bar and set of pliers would have been nice, as well as more 6 pt than 12 pt sockets.
