Overall, others give this:
Overall great tool if you're using the maxx access sockets. However if you have to use the adapter it fall out as soon as you place pressure to hold it on the bolt. It needs to be grooved like the sockets not backwards. Craftsman PLEASE FIX!!!!!
I replaced the water pump on my '05 GMC Envoy and this tool made removing the bolts from the pump a breeze. The pre set torque range was perfect for not stripping out the bolt holes in my aluminum block. Max Axess is the way to go when working under the hood of any of today's vehicles where there is limited space to say the least. This tool gets all A's!

Some jobs seem to require a ridiculous amount of wrenching while not needing very much torque. This handy tool makes all of that go MUCH quicker. It's max axess, but it also comes with a 3/8ths adapter so this will work with all of your normal sockets. All of those piddly annoying bolts that seem to slow a job down are off in a few seconds now. Works with Craftsman's 19.2v battery system that came with your drill or impact wrench. I can't recommend this enough.
This thing makes oil changes a lot easier, with much better control, so you don't end up with oil everywhere. Especially if you get the Gear Wrench oil plug remover set with the sockets that fit this tool. They put a nice big magnet in the hole in the middle, keeps the plug in the socket so as you swing it out of the way, the plug stays put. This tool is not for torque, but you can use it manually to break loose, then spin off the fastener quickly. You need to be careful when tightening with impact tools, too easy to break things. I like this tool to spin the fastener on without risking too much torque. It also has the best right angle clearance of any power tool out there. The square drive adapters are useless because they will not stay in the tool. But if you get a Craftsman 1/4" Max Axess Hex Bit Socket, 3/8-Inch Drive, and push out the hex bit, then press a 3/8 square drive to 1/4 hex bit adapter in it's place, then you have a square drive adapter that stays in place. Now if the designers are listening, hopefully they can fix this single very annoying part of this otherwise exceptional tool.
I am a professional mechanic and this tool offers features that I look for before my purchase. The mechanism to start operation is feathered and lockable, It is easier to control if you can start or run at at a slower speed. The battery charged in half an hour and ran all week with normal use. The handle/body of the tool is rubberized and aides in control and comfort. The package contained 3 sockets and a 3/8" adapter to accept regular sockets. supplied sockets are very secure and almost hard to remove, however, the 3/8" adapter has a tendency to come out during use as the flutes are cut backwards compared to the supplied sockets. There is a light on the tool, and the sockets do not have to be moving for the light to come on. The balance is good, but the battery is fairly large. The head is small enough to get into tight areas and has plenty of power to handle any dash work.
Overall I found it a good tool for me to use since I have limited hand strength, it does the work for me and I can still do things on my own. I did find the bits a little difficult to switch out but other than that its a great addition to my tools.

Works good. not as powerful as I might hoped for. I have impact driver and impact wrench so this is not a major issue. The four stars come for the idea of having to buy the expensive sockets. comes with only three. I already had a set so it makes this thing more useful.
