      Might be your last chance

Mfr. Model# 44713  Made In The USA by Western Forge for Craftsman.

I've had one of these 6" adjustables "for awhile" and it has proven useful on numerous occasions and have regretted not purchasing an additional one.....

I have recently learned that New Old Stock  (NOS) has surfaced and is being offered by a third party retailer -  A search of;  6" Craftsman Plumbers Adjustable Wrench  should yield positive results. One of these wrenches would make a great addition to your plumbing box or nail-bags.

REMINDER; You should always put the force that you are applying to an adjustable wrench to the fixed end of the head.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

      Belongs in every tool bag

Adjustable wrenches are very useful when you are trying to keep the weight down in your tool box or tool bag, especially when you have to carry it some distance.  The adjustable wrench always beats a full selection of both SAE and metric wrenches for weight.  The 6" size gives you the ability to handle small fasteners in many applications, handier than trying to keep up with a pile of loose small wrenches.

The new jaw design on the "beak jaw" adjustables makes the traditional adjustable wrench even more useful.  This jaw design allows use it tighter quarters, you are able to get good purchase on fasteners where it would have been impossible with conventional design adjustable wrenches.  You still have to be very careful about slipping off...

Don't buy this unless you want a serious tool

The Craftsman Professional series hand tools are truly in a class by themselves and this offering is no exception.  The thumb adjustment on this tool is smoother than any other I've seen on the market.  I like the coated handle which gives me added grip with wet or greasy hands.  The Beak-Jaw design let you open the jaws of this tool wide that most of its Brand X counterparts and ensure a snug fit in tight areas.  I really like the graduated scale which is etched in the jaws.  It has measurements for both Standard and Metric sizes allowing you to pre-size the jaw opening to fit the nut you are turning.

There are cheaper adjustable wrenches on the market.  I doubt however, if there are any better adjustable wrenches on the market.

      Awesome tool.

The slim beak makes it great in small tight corners, and it expands up to a huge 1". Also, the adjuster has a nice feel to it and it doesn't seem to want to change adjustments easily.

I was using this tool in my car and it was great for tightening oil lines.

      Great

I love these things, only 6" long but the jaw opens to just over 1 1\8th or about 30mm. I use this in my portable motorcycle toolkit which I keep on the bike all the time to save weight and space. Nothing else this size can grab a 27mm rear axle AND be durable enough to actually remove it. The tapered jaws are also great in tight spaces, but the wrench is very thick, but then again that is good for large nuts and bolts. If you have a need for a beak or duck bill jaw in this size, get one of these, the jaw opens just as wide as most 12-16" wrenches. It also has a size graph on the side, one side for metric, the other for standard so you know right away what size it's set to.
