Don't know how Craftsman could put their logo on such a flimsy device. The control panel has the durability of something you'd likely find in a box of CrackerJacks. Just closing the entry door to the garage sends enough vibration through the wall to activate the door! Our house has been left unprotected all night because the garage door opens when we shut the door leading into the house! Additionally, the electronic eyes that mount to the bottom of the door rails will turn on the overhead lights every time you pass by the sensors. I don't know about you, but when I'm working outside I walk in and out of the garage 20 times an hour so having the lights come on during a bright sunny day is a ridiculous design feature. The only way to disable this is to not install light bulbs in the motor. Avoid this product. Avoid other Craftsman openers that picture the same control panel as this model!
I put the track together as per instructions, but it was shorter than the 15 year old Craftsman opener I was replacing (the old opener had an extension for a longer door). Had to take apart and include the extension to make fit. New opener works perfectly. Only flaw was that the instructions did not warn be about extensions.

Fairly easy to install, thou I just put it in the brackets that was left behind for the old garage door opener. Works a lot better than my old 1/2hp opener, smoother and a lot quieter. I'm happy with it, lets see how long it lasts.

This was a replacement for my very old Craftsman--so old it didn't even have safety beams. This one has a 3/4 hp chain drive, safety beam, wall button, 2 remotes, and an entry key pad. I had it installed by a professional from Sears and it's been working great. It's fairly quiet too.

I have a high ceiling mount, which vibration could be contributing to this problem, but this opener burns through at least a bulb every two weeks. Like the opener does its job but changing the bulb every couple of weeks is a pain in the neck and not what I expected to have to do with the craftsman.
