Interior doors starting sticking a bit on the top corner?--this guy will take it take it off easily without having to remove the door and without damaging the door faces if used correctly. The triangle shape allows you to selectively remove a bit of material from small areas or from larger areas as well. I've used this rasp to level the top of a cabinet frame in preparation for granite installation, to remove material from door edges, to smooth joints in materials that were a bit off, to rough bevel boards and many other uses. It's not a substitute for the proper tools, but a quick fix for many things.

craftsman triangle rasp works fast. I used it to get a lot of years worth of paint off a stair well without chemicals. I wouldn't use it again on wood though asit left deep grooves that needed to be sanded a lot. better suited to concrete .

I received the Craftsman Carbide Triangular Rasp as a part of the NEXTEC Multi-tool for Christmas. Obviously I did not have enough projects to examine all of its advertised accolades so I set up a series of tests in my shop. I have several hunks of red brick still joined by mortar from an old fire pit I picked up to recycle the brick. I had been using a mortar hammer to break the bricks apart so it was easy to set this test. The Carbide Rasp cut through the old mortar like butter and then cleaned up the sides of the bricks in no time flat. The only problem I noticed was the NEXTEC Tool did become hot to the touch after a while. Looking at the price, I must agree with the other reviewer in that it is expensive when compared to the overall cost of the entire set which is why I did not give it a full five stars.

I cleaned the area under 5 ceramic tiles that I had to replace. The rasp did an excellent job and still seems to have quite a bit of life left.

The rasp does a nice job. BUT formula is to sell an inexpensive tool with VERY expensive consumables. This part is 20% of the cost of the Multitool. Bad Sears.
