I do a lot of automotive electrical work and got tired of the cheapie wire strippers I have been using. This Craftsman tool does the job perfectly, especially smaller wires where the cheapie strippers fail. Another small but critical point is that the Craftsman will actually cut smaller wires whereas the cheapie tools will just fold them between the blades forcing me to start over. The spring-assisted return is perfect for working under the dash with a flashlight in your mouth and no extra hands.
Handy , all purpose , medium duty wirestrippers.Works great for most general purpose wiring. Has a locking handle, so it takes up less space in toolbox, and the spring loaded handle makes it easy to use.Only drawback..I wish it had a strait cutter on the end for separating wires (like speaker wires)
The Craftsman professional curved wire cutter-stripper has all the right features to make it a top pick in wire cutters. Strip wire range 10-20 AWG, holes for looping and pliers tip. Basically its a version of a Klein wire cutter favorite with the Craftsman warranty. For speed work the handles are self opening and there is a lock to keep it closed for transport.
This is my second pair of Craftsman strippers since I started doing electrical 13 years ago. I would not trade them for any other brand of strippers. They are the best.

I just bought a house and knew that I would need these things at some point. I didn't take a week before I used them. They worked like a charm. The handles are very comfortable and they have a saftey latch. I would definitely recommend them to anyone.

I am a advanced do-it-yourself home improvement guy and needed a pair of wire strippers for a major redo of my kitchen. The wire strippers are working great and I couldn't find a better pair for less.
I have had a pair of these pliers for over ten years during which time they have seen a fair share of use and some abuse. They continue to preform the task they were designed for. The Long Anti-slip Ergonomic curved handles require little effort to cut insulation and wire and are very comfortable to use. The locking feature helps protect the cutting edges while not in use. They are rated to strip insulation from 10 - 18 AWG Solid conductor wire and 12 - 20 AWG Stranded conductor wire and feature holes for looping wire and for bolt cutting. The pliers nose can also be used for pulling wire and working small nuts. If your looking for a pair of strippers / cutters The 73573 pliers are worth a look.
