Of course my wife couldn’t understand why I would want to spend $25 for a wire cutter; but after having bought numerous cheap ones, I figured I might as well invest in a set of Craftsman that way I could always return them if they stopped working. That conversation occurred many years ago and the very same Craftsman Wire Cutter-Stripper and Crimper are still in my tool box. During all these years they have been used to fix everything from my son’s stereo speakers to some serious do-it-yourself wiring in the home and I have no complaints. The padded handles are an added bonus as they do not slip even when your palms are sweaty during the summer heat. I strongly recommend this product as the real deal!!!

the front crimpers and the fact it was USA made were the two main drivers towards my purchase. I needed the front crimpers for tight quarters, and it was a USA made tool. as long as its USA made, this is an excellent tool for any toolbox. very handy on under dash wiring of a vehicle.

I bought a pair for work, I do accessory wiring on new vehicles. They were nice once they broke in, very sharp but stiff at first. Within 6 months I busted them at the jaw, it cracked from the pivot bolt out. warrantied them and the next pair did the same thing with in 6 mo. They need to beef up the center, around the bolt. I looked at the similar Channel Lock brand, and they look stronger.

I use this tool all the time and it always is able to get the job done. It has everything you need on it to do your wiring work. It’s affordable and gets used a lot. I would recommend it to anyone who needs to do any wiring work because it has all of the essential functions.

It's hard to screw up wirestrippers. I used these the first time I wired my living room for surround sound and they did the job perfectly on 16 awg speaker wire. These are easy to use with the different wire gauges listed. I wish they could be operated with one hand though, I found myself using two hands to open them and one hand to close them and strip the wires. This is the same issue I have with my Craftsman plier set. On the other hand it is good that they are not too loose. For the price you could get several wirestrippers in another brand but with these you only have to buy them once because of the lifetime warranty. I would buy them again.

You cannot crimp a automotive plug wire even close to correct with these pliers. Does anybody even test them? I cant beleive craftsman puts their name on them! If you purchase them with the intention of making plug wires you are going to be MAD!!!!
