Overall, others give this:

I bought this set to have a few additional knives floating around the house. I already have a Kobalt knife which I've used regularly for several years. - The Craftsmans have a hard grip; the Kobalt knife has a rubbery grip. - The Craftsmans do not come with any extra blades; the Kobalt did. - The Craftsmans have no built in blade storage; the Kobalt does (I miss this feature in particular). - The Craftsman set is a set including the mini-knife; the Kobalt wasn't. - The Kobalt was a few bucks cheaper. Finally, although they don't make it too clear on the website, these are Made In China. That's always sort of double sad for something with the Craftsman name on it.

These utility knives are a very nice finish and quality. The dark inset pieces of wood give it a luxurious feel. The heaviness of the knives also make them seem of high quality. The opening and closing action is quite smooth and the blade holding design at the head ensures the blades are in tightly and do not move. They use commonly available blades and come with a pouch. I keep the larger knife in the pouch and the smaller keychain knife in my glovebox. The thumb nub makes it easy to open with one hand. Closing the knife with one hand is possible, but takes dexterity due to the locking mechanism being so robust. It's great to have a utility knife around for cutting into boxes and saving my pocket knife blade for less mundane items.

I had one of these years ago, but lost it. When I ran across them I know that they were built to last.

I use this knife hundreds of times a day at work. It is a strong, well weighted knife. I had used one for the last two years, just replacing the blades as needed. I was forced to replace it because an unscrupulous co-worker stole it. I wouldn't buy anything else.

Have had great luck with both of these knives. Had to replace one and there was no problem with the warranty. Use them all the time.
