I purchased a Sears yard tractor and had nothing but trouble from the start. Working with customer service could take up to a month to send parts and get a repairman out to install. I will never buy another Sears Chraftsman unit again.

delivery guys were very informative, no crating or anything to remove or throw away on my own. The delivery guy walked me through the mowers features. My grass cut evenly and with speed. I had to be careful because this thing was so quick it was whipping my neck around! My yard is hilly with many obstacles so I wasn't sure of how successful I would be but this mower has been a cinch to use. So far so great.

This is the first rider I've owned. After many months of looking at different brand mowers, I decided to purchase this one. The features that helped me decide were the (4) anti-scalp wheels, the Hydrostatic automatic transmission the horsepower and the 6" turn tight steering. With the sale price I bought it for, no other brand mower had the same features for the money. I have used my mower 4X to cut my 0.47 acre yard and have not added gas to the tank since filling it the first time. Looks like I'll get a 5th run before having to refill. I absolutley love this riding mower! It is smooth, comfortable and cuts very nicely. It used to take me 2.5 hrs to push a mower and now only takes me 30 mins on the rider. I removed the discharge cover and installed a mulch plug I ordered through Sears along with an hour meter. There is a convenient panel that pops out of the dash and the hour meter plugs right into an existing harness made just for it, then snaps into the dash. Nice add on feature.

Bought mine (w/mulch kit) over year ago for my 3/4ac Indiana yard. From my research, most "entry-level" tractors are built with same tranny & similar engines. Craftsman had lower actual selling price and better handling. It's been trouble-free so far & gives decent cut. Just remember that on wet grass your tires will skid- so go slow to actually use that tight 8" turning radius.

People at the factory need to finish the electrical wiring. Would not start up at first until I founf the problem. The wiring was not completed. I finished their job. The store prep work needs a little lesson in testing out this product before delivery.

Mine was purchased online and delivered to my house free. It saved me a few bucks over buying it at the store, I didn't get stuck with a dusty one with stale gas in the tank sitting in the weather out by the parking lot, and I didn't have figure out how to haul it home and unload the thing by myself. All adding up to a big plus. The delivery guys called my house to ask directions. I told them,"First house on the right as you cross the train tracks.'' My wife was leaving for work when she saw the Sears truck with our new mower drive by our house... she chased them down and caught them at the stop sign, 1/2 mile down the road. They were here two hours early. After they'd left, I noticed that the cables to the battery were but finger tight, so I tightened them with wrenches and put a battery charger on it before I started to mow. After mowing, I noticed it was a tight fit through the door of its storage shed. They'd delivered a 46" mower, not the 42" one I'd ordered....

Engine does not seem to have the power my old 17 hp has. But that is not the real problem to me with this mower. My major problem is where the lift lever assy is located. It is on the left fender and it sticks out at an angle so that when you are mowing if you try to get close to bushes with thick limbs the limbs get caught on the lever and I have already had to purchase a new console assy. It was ripped right out of its position. And it also bent the fender. Other than that the mower starts every time I go to use it. Purchased just 4 weeks ago.

looked at all other mowers in this price range, this is by far the best bang for the buck. good power, easy to operate, cut is good, ride is ok, turn tight is awesome! if you follow your instruction manuel and use common sense, you'll love this mower.

I have just purchased this product. It starts right up and the cut looks good. Time will tell how I would really rate this product.
